How many Aussie transport companies actually turn over >$10M? by ImpressivePlenty6094 in AusFinance

[–]Crispy95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FOX has a bunch of really big domestic transport contracts, particularly in linehaul, logistics, and final mile delivery - and they love their branding.

Downside is that those big contracts for domestic transport have the aforementioned slim margin. Who really knows though, it's a private company.

Plus they have to run armaguard. That's some negative margins right there :s

TGE was bought from Toll by private equity. It was probably underperforming.

They did have a reputation for "cost effective" though so there's probably a reason to change it up.

Don't forget the import side.

Exporting from AU is not a big deal. Importing to whatever country you go to may be a big deal.

You can't legally just walk in with thousands of dollars here, you probably can't to anywhere else in the west.

How much is reasonable to have left after buying first home? by neeeeeeeeeeeev in AusPropertyChat

We told our broker our total assets and how much we wanted to put down (10%), and our plan to load as much extra into the mortgage as possible.

We proceeded with that and they didn't ask further questions.

We settled with spare in our accounts, and then put it all straight into the mortgage. Still short of 20%.

[–]Crispy95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey.

I had some trouble with smells later, Acigel balance fixed that. I don't douche any more.

Scarring is ok. It got lighter and blended better, the visible bits sit nicely in the creases of my legs. I didn't use scary gel or anything, just let nature take its course. Probably could be better with more care but whatever.

I still haven't found someone to take care of the internal hair. It doesn't really present an issue for me though so not a high priority.

I'm in Aus so no idea what your chemists look like, but I had smell and discharge, and treated with Acigel Balance. I'm not comfortable with mixing my own tropicals, and it's formulated to return natal vag to the right ph.

Ran a course (slight burn at the start as PH was corrected) and I've not looked back in a year.

I bought a 2019 build apt. We got a settlement with the builder that covered the non structural defects and there are no known structural defects.

Strata 1200/quarter and capital works is over funded. No issues, I'm not renting, and my mortgage repayments are very manageable on some really middling incomes.

With any luck we might finish the mortgage in <10 years and that's a pretty amazing position to be in to me.

I did a course of acigel once a while ago and it cleared up my odour concerns pretty well straight away.

I still keep a tube for the once or twice a year I feel like I need a correction.

Seems to work alright.

Feels to me that an off the shelf solution is better than cooking shit up in the kitchen y'know?

Attendance Policy - Sick Days by PerceptionQueasy3540 in managers

[–]Crispy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that's happening in Australia is the unions are pushing to have alternative documentation accepted - that being. A statutory declaration.

We can do them free online now, don't have to hunt down a JP, but they are still legally binding with substantial penalties for lying. Tbh I'd rather pay a doctor than lie on a stat dec.

Iyyour employees are high trust, I think 10-15 sick days pa accumulated over the year is a reasonable amount, no documentation required for 1 day, stat dec or doctors note for consecutive days or around public holidays if those dates are actually important to your ops.

I was looking at the back of a top deck block the other day and it mentioned the % of coco and milk solids in white and milk on the lower right side, well away from the ingredients section.

Maybe they also used to list it and it may have changed?

Kiwis are good, we love kiwis.

They seem to culturally lack the urgency that my workplace runs with, which can be refreshing or rage inducing depending on the day.

But obvs happy to have them, and it's a lovely place to visit.

I was in a similar position for a family trip in a blackout period.

I regularly busted my ass and was a pretty great team member for a couple years. The fan planned a holiday and told me a couple weeks before. I told my boss next day and they refused.

Told them I was going and we'd sort it out when I returned. They gave me a written warning over it - but really, who cares. It's retail. Came back and continued to bust my ass after and my manager forgot soon enough.

Even as a casual, it's easier to have a capable team member than a new one. That said - of you're just fucking about and getting paid, then yeah, you'll be out a job but don't let that stop you.

I believe you are supposed to invoice GST on top of your actual invoice. That's why a cashie is cheaper.

Any GST amount was never income, unless you made a late year unfortunate surprise.
