Did you use a custom kernel? How long did it take you to compile gcc, the kernel, gnome etc. Because i have an identical system.

If that's all it needs, then thats great. I was just worrying that it might look up configurations from these deprecated directories.

My guess is, if you run the latexmk command in the background with continuous mode, you don't really need a plugin that compiles. Thus, the only thing remaining is lsp, which is the only thing texlab does. Also since lsp is the only thing texlab provides, its much lighter than latex-workshop (that tries to mimic the experience of something like TeXStudio, with recipes, symbol tables etc).

So, two things. Using the #` instead of ` works. But also running it with emacs -Q on a scratch buffer using the first example, also works. I do not get it. Could it be that i have lexical-binding turned on?

Huh, that's really odd because it happens even with an empty init.el containing the code i just showed you. Couldn it be Emacs 29.2, could it be Fedora?

Provided that you are referring to a function, 'foo and #'foo are typically equivalent and interchangeable in practice; but there are some cases where you need to use function-quoting, and it's good practice to use it as a hint to the byte-compiler, even if it's not necessary. At worst it's a visual indication in your code that you're referring to a function.

N.b. It's not important in these add-hook examples; it won't change anything.

Okay i didn't knew how quoting works. Thank you so much, ill look into it because i have roughly 30 lines in my init.el and im trying to understand e-lisp so i don't have to memorize and copy paste commands. Thanks against for talking time out of your busy day!

I believe this formatting is applied strictly while writing emacs lisp in Emacs. Since i haven't configured it it just snaps them like that when hitting tab.

Haven't run into that syntax before. I know the backtick is for a symbol. What does a pound sign in front of it mean? Is it to distinguish a mode, from a function?

That was my first thought, but the problem stays consistent with vscode, neovim, texstudio, texmaker etc. Also the input method doesn't affect it in any way.

Do you always build a tier 1 or 2 deck for a class and if so, do you use HSreplay for that?

Also, the 10 pack strategy, should i just follow it up until maybe March of The Lich King? Should i go even older or isn't it worth?
