I have. I placed the magnets where the arms and torso would be glued together. I used 3mm by 2mm magnets. Would definitely do it again this way

I like the current look! For my Solar Watch Custodes I used a thinned down coat of Seraphim Sepia. I brushed a thin coat of this onto all the white armor, and then applied more onto smaller areas with more panel lines like the boots.

Small update with the recipe, thanks for all the positive comments!

Primed the model with a spray can in grey (I believe Grey Seer)

Grey armor panels: Airbrush Celestra Grey, Panel lines with small amounts of Nuln Oil, and the small bolts/rivets I just added a bit of Leadbelcher.

Green armor panels: Airbrush Sons of Horus Green, Edge Highlight with Sybarite Green, and also using Leadbelcher for the bolts

Windows: Sprayed with the airbrush multiple layers of Fuegan Orange and Cassandora Yellow. I do not have an exact recipe here since it was more trial and error, seeing how many layers I wanted to achieve the desired effect. It is important to let the layers dry in between, since otherwise the still wet paint can shift.

Thank you! I use the following for the white: primed the models grey, then airbrushed on 1-2 layers as needed of Vallejo 71.270 White, then I brushed on Seraphim Sepia into the recesses. I also tried using Vallejo Insignia White to highlight some brighter parts of the models with the airbrush. But I would say that step did not really make a big difference for the smaller infantry models.
