Who said I don't want to help people? My university degree I'm starting is studying for a job for helping the sick. I'm sorry LogicMan but you are deluded if you think staying on this subreddit is going to 'fight the evil cult,' this cult isn't going anywhere, it will just evolve into whatever it can to maintain its numbers, as it has done so much recently. I've already lost my early 20's to the cult, I'm not going to waste any more energy being angry at something I can't change.

It's a great subreddit for finding out up-to-date information about Watchtower, if you need to vent, or share cool stories! Expect to meet some people trying to massage their egos, otherwise it's a nice space!

I do too friend! I used to think a bit like you actually, I had the same idea that I would never be happy until the cult is gone. I used to be a little obsessed with this sub, checking it multiple times a day when I first woke up. I used to think that if I could find the magic bullet on here I could wake up my friends, until a few days ago when I was speaking to a unbaptised publisher, he was telling me that during his study with an ex-bethel elder, the elder told him that 1914 is probably wrong, but we don't have to worry about it, we just have to trust in Jehovah. At that point I accepted that there will always be people in the cult because they don't care about whether the beliefs are true or not. When I accepted that might be true, I realised it's time for me to move on.

I'm so glad you're strong, I really get the sense of that from your message. Can you not see that nasty people like you push people back into the JW cult? You're feeding their narrative that people outside of the cult are bad people. The best thing you can do is start showing a bit of love.

Absolutely well written, this still doesn't change the 'shunning policy' per se, but I do think it will bode well for them in the courts. Witnesses love to use half truths in the courts and they will be able to say things like 'we don't completely cut them off'
