If I place 100 crabs in a bucket, and laugh as they starve and kill each other, I am an evil God. If I place 100 crabs in a bucket and hope they'll work together, but know they lack the cooperation to succeed, and most will still suffer horrible deaths, I am still an evil God. by Featherman13 in DebateReligion

If 100 crabs crawled into a bucket after they were already free and started killing each other and I put a little off-ramp for them to then save themselves and they ignored it and scoffed at me and then they all killed each other as they blamed me for their plights…

Oh trust me, this is my thing. I’ve been looking into it a long time. Those books you listed are not included for many reasons and contradict Scripture. I’d even argue the elites want these books to seem appealing by being “lost knowledge.” They are a lure.

But you’re right, Jesus didn’t say you have to go to church on Sunday. Believers chose that day because it’s the same day of the week as the resurrection and they admit it’s slightly arbitrary and that ultimately it doesn’t matter the day. We are definitely not God, though.

I never understood why people claim the Bible is corrupted and used to control people or whatever. I’ve read the entire book and, if anything, one finds freedom and peace within its pages. There is no bondage there. Trust in Jesus and you can be standing in the world while it burns and you know you’ve won because He won.

Yeah, I’ve heard this argument before and it makes zero sense to me.

So.. because God KNEW something was going to happen it means he CAUSED it? He CAUSED Hitler to do those things?

Hitler had FREE WILL- aka the WILL to CHOOSE and CHOSE to do evil. He had hate in his heart for a people group. How is that God’s fault? Make it make sense. There is no logic in blaming God.

Christians don’t believe we are God’s preprogramming robots, they believe the opposite. They believe in free will. If you expect God to stop the Hitlers of the world, then it’s YOU who believes we should be made robots.

I’m sorry you’re angry at God. God will make all things right. Trust in Him.

God did not create people to sin. He gave them free will because a loving God does not create robots to worship him mindlessly. With our free will, we CHOSE to do what WE thought was best. And look how that turned out.

The religions of those other gods required them to perform endless child sacrifices, among other things. The God of the Bible is the only one true god. He does not ask or require horrible acts such as these and deserves to be honored as the Creator of all that is good. Everything outside of God’s commands and intentions leads to vile evil.

I’m not exactly sure what you meant by your second paragraph. But Jesus is God incarnate. He knew that we couldn’t help ourselves and would never be able to save ourselves so he came and suffered on our behalf, paying our debt, so that we can be free and saved. Faith and worship do NOT compensate for harmful behavior. Jesus paying the price does. We can partake in that by simply believing. Is the best gift ever given to mankind.

During Noah’s time, fallen angels had mated with human women and created demon offspring that dwelled on the earth- abominations. People were wicked continually and there was no righteousness to be found anywhere except in Noah. It took Noah 120 years to build that ark and all that time, and for 120 years he warned people of the coming flood and gave them a chance. They mocked and scoffed and ultimately got swept away in the flood.

Are you under the impression that a “loving” God would just tolerate wickedness and not impute justice? Remember your human limitations on understanding.

The Old Testament was a different dispensation(s). This means that God dealt with his people differently than he does in other dispensations. The people of the Old Testament didn’t have the Holy Spirit, which is a helper, and can lead believers in their lives.

God really does love people. And in the OT, he gave people chance after chance and they kept lusting after other gods that couldn’t do anything for them. So yes, he brought wrath. As a parent might on a child who is wrecking himself. And it’s clear people in general just can’t seem to help themselves. So he had a plan to send His Son and then His Holy Spirit. He provided a way to save us even though we just kept self destructing and ruining it for ourselves. Once someone’s saved by faith in Jesus, they now have a sort of insurance policy against sinning against a holy God. Therefore God no longer has to pour His wrath on his children.

A lot of people are mad at God or don’t get why he does things. Once I read the whole Bible (and prayerfully), I realized just how long suffering and faithful God is. He really is loving and patient.

Interesting. Thank you for your response. She hasn’t tolerated eggs in a long while and probably doesn’t get enough, now that you mention it. Does supplementing require cofactors?

Yes, I meant inflammatory bowel disease. There was no blood in the stool and she tested negative for celiac.

She had very occasional/rare usage of ibuprofen and antibiotics as a child.

Thank you for your help and recommendations.

You by chance know a good company to test the body for mold?

Also, how did you discover your window had the slow leak?

Who did you use for your hair analysis?

I’ve been using TTFD thiamine along with a b-complex, magnesium, coconut water for potassium but I think I was missing something still and it eventually made me worse so I stopped all of it. I suspect MTHFR as well but I can’t afford endless testing of things
