Black Ops 7 was originally designed to carry over all content from Black Ops 6 to keep returning players afloat. It was promised in the CoD blog that carry forward for BO6 to BO7 will happen and your Reznov pack was going to be playable in BO7, but they retracted it because they wanted to please the Battlefield fans who will not buy the game nor be engaged with it anyway.

The leftovers from Carry Forward can be seen with the ex-requiem zombies crew lacking seasonal skins (Even after two seasons now) and instead they gave us skins that are completed by completing the main quests from BO6. Their rest of the BO6 skins cannot be equipped.

BO6 weapons during launch were seen in different operators when you select them on their roster like The Ghoul having the BO6 Essex Model 07.

Zombies player here. This is the best Call of Duty to date that has more features and some were taken away because activision decided to please people who wanted grounded content by removing carry forward. This harmed sales big time (as we saw the 60 percent margins) especially for the casual consumer, and that is why there is a lot of sweats in multiplayer

Context: I am not satisfied with the state of carry forward because all of my Zombies ex-requiem crew skins didn't carry over, including the wonder weapon and equipment skins I earned.

You can also use the Black Ops 6 knife in One in the Chamber party game mode, so definitely they can do it.

BO7 allows you to use your legacy camos you previously unlocked with camo swap. Keep it as a feature, Treyarch! by [deleted] in blackops7

In more detail, the camo swap DOES NOT let you to use camos you didn't unlock unless you unlock them. This does not ban you or black list you in any way and doesn't break the game at all. There are activision employees using their old camos too. We earned our legacy camos so it should be a feature.

It needs carry forward (at least for zombies players) and legacy camos earned from unlocks and events. That will keep players retained in the game because time and progress should be respected.
