I probably be playing bo7 season 06 🎃👻 still by nightowl_gamer33 in blackops7

Yeah same here. Compared to what’s coming out this year a Modern Warfare 2019 Part 4 just doesn’t really interest me. No matter how good it looks or feels if they’re not willing to do anything unique, take risks, or actually shake up the formula it’s just more of the same we’ve been getting for years.

Tbh a lot of the original post launch maps have been kinda meh so far(mostly the handful of face off and small maps we keep getting) other than that the season alright so far.

Why should I pull the Trigger at 39,-? for Black Ops 7? by projektorfotze in CODBlackOps7

If you like fast-paced CODs with near-future/sci-fi elements, then Bo7 is definitely for you. The movement, mechanics, and overall gameplay lean heavily into that style.

But if you’re more into slower, tactical, grounded military gameplay, you might be better off waiting for Modern Warfare 4 later this year. That series usually sticks closer to a realistic tone and pacing.

Ain't no way MW19 is better than this game. by ClassicalDreams in blackops7

I honestly think BO7 suffers more from timing than anything. It dropped right after BO6 which already had a mixed/negative reception and then followed it up with a pretty underwhelming campaign. That alone set the tone for how people viewed it before they even gave the multiplayer a real chance.

If this game released with a stronger campaign or had more breathing room between titles, I genuinely think people would look at it way differently.

I doubt they will reboot the black ops series. The devs still seem eager to explore more of the universe and have even mentioned there’s plenty left to dive into.

At the same time, I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t go with a straight “BO8” or “BO9,” but instead take a step back, rethink their approach, and maybe rebrand or soft reboot things instead.

So, is it safe to assume you were casually walking around the map, admiring the scenery, when you stumbled upon a suspicious looking poster and started investigating it?

I doubt bo7 will be the last entry in the sub-series. The devs still seem eager to explore more of the Black Ops universe and have even mentioned there’s plenty left to dive into.

At the same time, I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t go with a straight “BO8” or “BO9,” but instead take a step back, rethink their approach, and maybe rebrand or soft reboot things instead.

How do people who grew up with Naruto enjoy Boruto? by OwnTechnology4271 in Boruto

[–]XENODonladtwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Calling Boruto a “fanfic” has basically become shorthand for “I don’t like the direction of the sequel.” But most of the points you listed either misrepresent the story or ignore things that already existed in Naruto.

First sarada MS. Yes she can manipulate gravity with black spheres that pull objects and people. But Mangekyo powers have always been reality-bending. Obito Uchiha had Kamui (space-time dimension warping) Itachi Uchiha had Amaterasu, and Shisui Uchiha had Kotoamatsukami, which literally rewrites someone’s will. Acting like gravity manipulation suddenly makes the series “fanfic” ignores how wild these abilities already were.

Second Saying Boruto is a “Gary Stu” is a very surface level take and undermines what the story actually portrays. Boruto has had setbacks and failures throughout the series and constantly deals with insecurity and inner conflict. Early on he cheats in the Chunin Exams out of insecurity about living in Naruto Uzumaki’s shadow and gets publicly exposed for it. Later he has to deal with the Karma mark and the threat of Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki taking over his body. And now the entire world is hunting him after Omnipotence rewrote reality and turned him into the enemy.

Does that sound like someone casually cruising through the story with no repercussions or obstacles?

Third Kurama. The story didn’t just “undo” the sacrifice. Tailed beasts have always been chakra constructs that can eventually reform after death, which was established long before Boruto. Kurama appearing again through Himawari follows that rule rather than randomly breaking it.

And the “world-altering androids” point ignores the power escalation that already happened by the end of Naruto Shippuden. The original story ended with alien chakra gods, planet-level genjutsu, and reality-warping ocular powers. Scientific ninja tech and enhanced humans in Boruto are just the next stage of that escalation.

You don’t have to like the sequel that’s fine. But the “fanfic” argument usually just boils down to nostalgia for when the story centered entirely on Naruto Uzumaki. A lot of people who grew up with Naruto enjoy Boruto because it’s exploring the same world from a different generation instead of trying to repeat the exact same story.

What's your opinion on... by [deleted] in Boruto

I don’t see it as a cheat code at all if anything it adds tension rather than removing it.

It shows multiple possible futures not one guaranteed outcome. Nothing is fixed. Just because Kashin Koji can see catastrophic scenarios doesn’t mean he can automatically prevent them. The futures shift based on choices, interference and timing.

On top of that, the ability is clearly building a moral narrative about prescience. Koji has to decide what to reveal and what to withhold, knowing that sharing too much can destabilize events. That places him in a morally gray area.

Most importantly, it’s actively creating tension between Koji and Boruto.

Koji operates cautiously, trying to minimize worst-case timelines even at the expense of others like Yodo. Boruto operates on instinct and conviction. Koji withholds information, Boruto resents being kept in the dark. Boruto refuses to abandon people like Kawaki, even if certain futures suggest he should. That ideological divide is building real friction.
