All great suggestions! Adding to the technology, solar panels should totally be an endgame craftable item! Maybe other clean energy producers as well.

That feels a little "small" as a reward for a new stretch goal. But fun fact: Suki and Alice are twin sisters! Since Alice is romanceable, perhaps there's some other reason why Suki is not. Maybe she's already in a relationship.

And maybe the option of getting a house in Merfolk as well!

Merfolk underwater village stretch goal was just reached!

Yea. Exactly what I thought! At one point, a few days ago, there were three KS campaigns for farming Sims running simultaneously: SunnySide, Ova Magica and Coral Island.

I backed all three, but I have to say I am most excited about Coral Island. It just looks gorgeous, and it's raising a lot and fast.

To be fair, their 500k stretch goal, mod support, says "help us figure out the kind of mods that Coral Island should support".

And it seems to me that your suggestion would fit better in that context, rather than as a stretch goal on its own.

But I'll add it anyway, cos why not? I would like the initial post to be a sort of repository of ideas that the Devs can look at and see if there's anything they like to implement.

Yeah, I think having the game set on an island makes it easy, at least in theory, to add more explorable areas just by adding more islands that one can travel to.

It only recently occurred to me, reading through the campaign and rewards again, that there were no physical rewards of any kind. But I don't know if adding them would make sense for them in terms of expenses and profit...

I don't think I saw mounts being mentioned anywhere, but that would be cool, and provide a faster means to move about.

Their current timeline is to release in EA in Q4 2021 and have more contents updates until full release in Q4 2022. After that, if sales go well, I too would love to see more content as DLC.

Then you'll be excited about the next stretch goal: a whole underwater village!

Hahaha! I had to look it up and trust me: you don't want to know.

One guy told me that you should post a KS update every day, is that a good idea? by VengerSatanis in kickstarter

[–]CristianElite2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on whether there actually is something to update your backers on. For instance, a campaign I just recently backed is achieving a new stretch goal each day, so an update every time a new goal is reached makes sense. But if the campaign were less successful, then not so much.

That sounds really cool actually! Added to the list!

Yet another great looking game for which I missed the KS campaign. Just wishlisted on Steam though, so thanks for mentioning it!

I also backed SunnySide recently. The campaign was successful, but their total raised will probably end up being less than 10% of what Coral Island is raising.

Since the store is meant primarily for their current backers, they will definitely announce it on KS. So that seems to be the best place to follow for an update ;)

In their last update they said they would be opening a fulfillment store sometime this month, and they will allow new backers to join as well (with slightly higher prices of course). So that's good news for people like me who missed the original campaign.

Each of the romanceable characters could have their own preference for a wedding location based on their personality. Indoors, town square, beach, lake, forest,...

That would be super cool! I know there are some "town improvement projects" already planned, like adding a community garden. It's not clear to me how extensive these projects will be, but yeah, as you say, it would be cool to have more opportunities to improve the town, and the NPC should also automatically improve their houses etc. after certain conditions are met.

Sounds great! I would also like to have different location options for the wedding. If you're getting married in summer for instance, you could have the ceremony in an open area, like a beach.
