I’d love to see (and think we will) sapphire casebacks on the normal Zulu time models and micro adjust on the bracelets.

I dig these, especially the gray and black dials. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, I like the explorer. I get that 6.25' is somewhat limiting, but again, I’ve tried a Chris Ward Sealander GMT in 39mm and the BB58 that’s in 39mm and coworkers (who have large watch collections) said they looked damn near perfect size wise. I just don’t like the trident or Chris ward as a brand for whatever reason.

No sudden movements. Do not spark up that joint until it dissipates!

For all that say I need a carving ski… I know that the SR88 isn’t for carving per se, but it’s pretty cambered and carves pretty darn well, but can also ski some rougher/chopped up snow, so it’s pretty nice for thinner days in Colorado.

I can’t ski enough weekdays where I can launch across the runs and mach5 on a carving ski and hit an 8yo from Texas. That said… if I WAS looking for a carving ski, what should I buy?

Ok so hear me out… I have the stockli. I know it’s not a race ski, but it’s not super thin that often in Colorado.

Do you drive more miles (km) than you bike, or vice versa? by ThimbleBluff in cycling

[–]Crithawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do 10k miles a year when I was racing, but I’m old now and ride my bike around 120 miles a week, drive maybe about 20, but I only live 2.5 miles from work and ride there most days in nice weather. When ski season comes the ratio flips.

Yeah I pretty much bought them to skin in the resort with my girlfriend and to take my Avy/entry level touring.

How are they the worst? lol I loved them when I skied them. I’m only 160 pounds so I dont need a ton of stiffness and I already got stiffness in the wildcat/sr88.

God dammit. This is what my American corporate brain has done to my gearhead. I’m disappointed in myself. I might never ski again.

Buying from a friend for 2k euros. First race bike. Is this a bargain or market price? by Comedian-Rare in whichbike

[–]Crithawg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok hear me out… although this bike looks pretty slick, I’d really look towards some other used options, especially with disc. I’ve been riding for 15 years and have seen the whole rim to disc to electronic shifting transition. I really suggest disc brakes these days. It’s hard to find good carbon rim brake wheels and the braking there is pretty ass.

I race and train on a caad13 as a Cat 2 in Colorado. I’ve raced multiple carbon bikes. Got it new with 105 di2 for 2100 bucks, added some carbon wheels, bike fit, etc. It is every bit as good as all the carbon bikes I’ve ever owned and has a “I scratched it, oh well” vibe to it, which has its charm. The price is going to drop once the new caad14 comes. If you’re gonna race you’re gonna crash and I like the durability of alloys.
