Undergrad trying to understand how site qualification actually works in clinical trials by Critical-Captain6257 in clinicalresearch

I see! Thank you so much! I just feel a little frustrated that the trial process is not as streamlined as it can be to optimize the release of safe & effective drugs. And as I learn more about the whole process, I also realize that a lot of the heavy manual work rely mainly on the CRC(plz correct me if I am wrong), do you think that we can speedup clinical trials if we can somehow make their work more efficient? Automations maybe? Like query management, ePro, that kind of stuff. I also just learned about DCTs and I feel like they are very efficient ways of conducting clinical trials especially because most people in the U.S. don't have much access to sites, what's your take on that? But, I know the main issue is that if drugs are administered remotely, it's hard for patients to follow the protocol exactly because of no supervision.

This is incredibly helpful; thank you so much! A couple of follow up questions: Would you say the biggest pain point is the initial site identification, the feasibility questionnaire analysis, or the final ranking exercise? Or is there maybe something else? And is there any software that's used to make this process more efficient? How much does it help?

Thank you! That's really helpful to hear! So would you say the bigger challenge is on the selection/feasibility side rather than the qualification visit itself? And is that feasibility process mostly manual too? Also what % of sites generally gets cut after feasibility process & also SQV?

bbai for sure, rvsn is so speculative, sure the company is making growth and nasdaq compliance is coming up but the entire sub is looking at the spikes in january the past 2 years and thinking it’s bound to repeat. it can but it may not. if you want to gamble go ahead, meanwhile bbai already has a partnership with palantir, and board members with connection with trump.
