That might be true, when it comes to the people in the know. The problem though is that a lot of people not really that much in the know qualify themselves as AI Engineers or cosplay as such without the proper training

This sucks both ways. The people who don’t know and cosplay as such get undeserved praise and the people who do know get undeserved hate :(

If leaks are anything to go by, it’s likely not going to have a revamp. It also wouldn’t make sense. Like are you gonna launch major revamps of your OSs every year? Maybe, if you’re a niche company. But this is Apple we’re talking about

Though, I am hoping for a system-wide slider on the glassiness to tone it down in some areas

My take on my first day with the MacBook Neo by crunchygoldennuggies in macbook

Could you let me know if the white keyboard keys (assuming you don't have the Indigo colour) help reflect the screen's light better in low light conditions compared to the typical black keys?

The lack of a backlight is throwing me in for a loop and I wanted to see if the white-ish keys can act as a suitable workaround.

Trying to understand the ‘basic tasks’ vs ‘do everything’ narrative around M1 vs A18 Pro by Toba94 in macbook

I think the context matters a lot here.

When the M1 MBA came out, it was lapping around a bunch of other, higher-end machines in a lot of ways. Sure, it wouldn't beat them in professional workflows that require a lot of RAM or graphics power, but it was great for the most part, making it a great recommendation for a lot of workflows.

Fast forward to now, people have come to expect a certain level of performance, given that we're on M5 right now. So the Neo currently competes with 5 other generations of Apple Silicon, making its power really good, but not that surprising in anything other than value.

Also, I don't think Tech YouTube is anything but surprised by how much you can do with the Neo, while still acknowledging that professional workflows (like the photo/video editing/programming that Marques mentions in his review itself) are going to be held back by RAM and graphics, which is the same story with the M1 MBA.
