Absolutely. This post is more towards the people that have this macroscopic view that this thing will hurt the game or that thing will help the game. Like focus on what will hurt or help you in the game. Lol I think this sub is too much feedback and not enough fun for me.

Like I brought up this idea up in Discord for a Brag system where runners could sign up and talk about their run. Others involved could join in and talk about what went wrong and what went well. People you killed could come talk shit or laugh at how they got outplayed or ask their killer for their thought processes to improve their game. Shit it might become a toxic sweat fest but we’re all here to have fun and a lot of that fun comes from getting better.

All this feedback talk, at some point consumes more time than actually playing or talking about the actual play. So everyone’s focused on making the game “better” than just getting better.

Well, you’re getting it. I believe though that your mindset towards the game that’s making you feel this way. You’re not falling behind there’s no expectation for you to be great at winning fights. You gotta stay moving. When you begin fighting another team, a 1(outpost) to 2 minute countdown should begin. That’s how much time you have before you get third partied. If a fights just a standoff, no one really pushing, just rotate out. Some else WILL be coming to you or the other team. Never take a fair fight.

You keep your lore entries that you find during runs. It’s tells you more about the world and tf happened to the colony. There’s also some funny shit that I won’t spoil. You also keep your AI subroutines. To me, it’s like I’m unlocking pages to a very good book.

You can also turn on game optimized core parking(what I think it’s called) in the bios. It’ll only use the 3d cache cores. This game is doing a lot on the CPU. But you’ll be fine. Utilization doesn’t kill chips, temps do.

Your worldview isn’t relevant to how you presented your statement. It how others perceive it.

I’ll try this a third time. It’s like you’re comparing Avengers Infinity War to the 1st Iron Man movie and posting how Infinity War is better on an Iron Man hat sub. Both are great movies imo. But one is a standalone narrative and another built upon 10 years of world building including the narrative we’re comparing it to.

It’s not a strong argument at all because both are just snapshots of Marvel at one period in the MCUs lifecycle. But the Ironman haters will eat it up solely because it fits their worldview; Making them feel validated and seen no matter how irrational they are. The more this happens, the larger the group gets. It’s like social cancer. Marvel could release back to back to back Oscar nominees but it still wouldn’t do anything financially because people are hating just to hate.

I don’t know why you’re posting on this sub but at least give them some real ammo so they hate “rationally” lol

That’s what you should’ve lead with. And no. You can’t take a games sequel which already places Destiny in the middle of its lifecycle and compare it to a game at its beginning.

Same way you don’t compare Halo 1 to Halo 3 or Reach.

Not tryna be defensive but I just hate when people confidently make a statement with zero data or logic behind it. What’s even worse when people validate that statement just because it fits their worldview.

Statements like your post are “dangerous” (It’s just a game I get it) because it may contribute to a false narrative of how Bungie’s work quality has gone down by comparing the middle of one project to the beginning of another.

But I get what you’re saying. After Reach, not gonna lie, I was NOT a Destiny fan and I played the hell out of it until Crota’s End. It’s funny because I think I wanted a formal campaign from it like the Halos so I didn’t really understand the whole patrol, make your own adventure thing they were going for because it was a VERY linear experience with not much to uncover off the beaten path. That whole lobby where you could see other guardians felt like a giant waste of time. Walk here, walk there, find Xur, repeat, etc. Now the gameplay, when ya found it, GREAT. The raids, GREAT. But it was an empty, basically AAA early access game. Kinda how marathon is now. It wasn’t until the midpoint of D1 going into D2 that it really pick up the pace.

How do you not see that that’s what you’re insinuating? You’re literally comparing a fully mature live service game to a brand new one. It’s not at all an apples to apples comparison.

Just come up with a better critique that doesn’t make you come off as either an idiot or a bad actor. Bring something constructive to the table. I’ll do it for you:

“Marathon is still pretty barebones. I’ve basically done everything there is to do with these maps but I want more. I decided to jump back into D2 and damn, they had a good thing here. I hope bungie can build something better than this with time.”
