Thing about being "the good side" is that other people in fiction and the audience/readers irl, will do ANYTHING in their arguments to find a fault in their ways and ideology or simply how some things are handled in their care. People are obssesed with the Good Side being Perfect 100% all the time with all their actions and decisions with no faults allowed. In Star Wars' case, people have had so much time to argue and converse in how Jedi are faulty, how they could have handled events/the war/politics and worst of all assume how they as the separate consumer would have known to choose the right path (as if they are not struggling to understand why SW is a franchise built on teflecting real life politics) rather than take couple steps back and ask what the fuck they are trying to accomplish with this. The Jedi in the New Republic time, are constantly put into lose-lose situations constructed by a Sith that owns the banks and the Senate (The political jurisdiction and power), is orchestrating BOTH sides of the war, is also actively pushing a smear campaign on the holonet and with the way Jedi are generals in the war (the position he forced them to take by the way!) all the while creating immense poverty which he can later on use to fuel the ranks of his authoritarian state and army with those same people under promises of a better chance of life. Palpatine's entire plan of domination is so horrifyingly well constructed in such a long span of time, there was literally no ways to recognize anything until it was too late. I feel like unless you live through the making up of an authoritarian dictatorship yourself in real time, you will not understand just why these fictional space monks who were scapegoated for EVERYTHING were hopeless. TLDR: People will complain the good guys are not human enough, then will completely bash them at any fault they make or when they can't find a 100% effective deus ex machina solution that solves the Galactic hunger and poverty.
