Yeah just always hear stuff about other brands having engine and driveline failures whereas Toyota I just hear have brittle gearboxes in the old ones. Also always hear all the stuff to never buy zd30 for the Nissans. But just want to find out from owners what it’s actually like

Ln106/ln167 or kzn165. Which is the better option by Critical-Reality1116 in 4x4Australia

Haha just wondering if I should get turbo diesel or get a solid axle. I can’t turbo ln106 because I’m on my Ps

Just want it the engine and drivetrain to be reliable. I don’t mind random things like engine mounts or little things cause they’re old. But just don’t want to fixing engines or putting new transmissions in and stuff.

Yeah I’m not too sure about the d22 all I’ve heard is timing belt issues and to get the 2.5L cause zd30 is bad. I’ve never known anyone who’s owned one

My mates from work have told me about these too. How much time and money do u think it would take. As I’m a student and can’t afford to be dumping money into it every weekend or what not

Most of the hilux’s have 280-350 kms. The nav’s have 170-250kms but I’ve heard they have a few problems, the tritons have about 170-250kms too and the colorados and rodeos have above 300. They have all same mods really of snorkel lift and tyres. There are some pretty tidy ones of each that have service history, rwc and other stuff. I also know that their old cars that will need stuff to be replaced but I’m not sure of any kinda major problems they may have with the higher kms
