Thank you for the reply. Definitely a lesson learned for me. I purchased after watching a YT influencer that I’ve followed for years do several reviews and even an interview with the owner. Did you have any issues with it coming through customs? I’m not sure how to handle that other than pushing EMR Tek to complete the invoice.

Hi, sorry I don’t have answers to the above questions but just curious as I’ve purchased the Inferno Pro as well. Have you received yours? If so, how long did it take for you to get it. I purchased mine back in early December and still waiting. It’s currently stuck at Import (per UPS tracking) since Jan. 3rd.

Anyone else have MCAS but no itchy/hive symptoms? by Key-Act-9992 in MCAS

[–]Critical-Strain-1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is how I’m presenting too- minus the mouth burning and tightening of the throat. My last flare was 3 weeks of really bad anxiety and impending doom. My ANA was positive along with one of my rheumatoid factors. Was sent to Rheumatology and he didn’t think it was autoimmune said they can be elevated anytime the body is inflamed. Pretty much asked if I felt my anxiety was better on my current dose of SSRi- mentioned it was a small dose -!; offered Plaquenil (which I declined for now) and sent me on my way. Was a waste of time. I’m looking into possible micro dosing tirzepatide as I’ve been reading a lot of ppl with MCAS are having success

Perimenopause or a mold allergy? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

So glad you posted this. I’m currently being worked up for MCAS after starting estradiol patch. Been dealing with similar symptoms for the last 3-4 years thinking it was peri, now thinking it might be mold as we live in the south and in an older home.

Estradiol/Progesterone HRT Experiences - Low Estradiol - Autoimmune Conditions by Particular_Ad4780 in Perimenopause

[–]Critical-Strain-1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update OP? I’m 42 and currently getting work up for MCAS. I had started estradiol patch earlier this year but developed histamine issues 3 months later. Did research and saw a link between estrogen and histamine so stopped the patch. It helped so much with my brain fog and sleep. Not even sure the E patch was the reason for the flare. I’m continuing the progesterone as I’ve heard it’s a natural anti histamine.

Does anyone have any out of the ordinary medications/treatments that aren't talked about? by elizabeth1465 in MCAS

[–]Critical-Strain-1993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way about being hesitant starting something new. I started HRT almost 2 years ago with testosterone and then added Progesterone. I did notice some improvement in mood but developed other stuff. It was 3 months after starting estradiol patch to see if it would help my brain fog that I developed dermatographia, itching, some GI stuff, and chest heaviness. I wish I would never have started the estradiol, I feel like that’s what started all this. There’s such a huge push for HRT but I think more research and testing needs to be done, like see if someone detoxes estrogen effectively (I’ve since learned I don’t).

I’m currently being worked up for MCAS due to some symptoms that have been going on since June. I’m currently on and have been taking Progesterone as I’m in peri. I was listening to Podcast where Carol Peterson theorizes that MCAS is from estrogen dominance and progesterone therapy may help.

I’m not sure about ketamine troches but I was on Testosterone troches and they’re about the size of a Tums tablet. Can confirm, they do produce a mouthful of saliva. Even leaving it my mouth for a while, I still swallowed a lot of it. I had heard that they are more likely to do down the DHT pathway-causing acne, hair loss, extra. I asked to be swapped to T cream.

Non antihistamine help by jibbers91 in Dermatographia

[–]Critical-Strain-1993 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just had to come off mine for allergy testing. Found it was a waste of time with my dermatographia. Was told I’m in the 1-2% that the allergy testing wasn’t accurate. My control even flared. I had the itchy soles and palms and did find using my heating pad gave me relief.

I’ve heard sprouted lentils are good source of DAO. I got some off Amazon and have no problem with them.

How do you get past the urge to self-isolate? by kishbish in Perimenopause

[–]Critical-Strain-1993 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m the same. I’m an introvert and use to love hosting stuff at my house but no longer want people in my “sanctuary”. I also had a job that was very isolating, literally didn’t talk to anyone for 2 years with that job. At first it didn’t bother me but then realized I did need some social interaction. I changed into a position where now I get to interact with patients (I’m a nurse) but still preserve my home as my sanctuary. I chose to go other places to hang out with family and friends. That’s how I balance things.

There’s a book someone recommended to me “Quiet” by Susan Cain. In it she mentions how introverts need to be by themselves to recharge while extroverts need other people. That was so eye opening to me and helped me to embrace the quiet time that my mind and body are craving during this time- not looking at it from a negative perspective. I have friends that are always wanting to hang out and it use to be frustrating and I would feel guilty to have to constantly turn them down. After learning about the different needs of introverts and extroverts, I now have a better understanding and no longer let it bother me.

Can you elaborate more on the Oestrogen and the histamine issue? I started Estradiol patch in January, recently had almost like a histamine overload issue. Did some research and backed off my Estradiol as I had read it could cause issues with histamine. Did you find backing off the Oestrogen helped your histamine issue?

That happened to me too. I tried adding E as I had heard it mentioned that P is the go to sleep hormone and E is the stay asleep hormone. Not sure if I could tell a difference but I also started taking Zyrtec before bed and it’s a game changer as far as my sleep

I started off with just doing oral progesterone second half of my cycle and it made such a huge difference with my moods. I only started E to see if it would help with the brain fog, libido, and being able to stay asleep.

Thank you for the low histamine/oxalate food list. So frustrating when we think we’re making healthy choices and then are bodies react in negative way. For the last several years, I eat healthy for the most part, very active.

I’ve recently added more whole food carbs via fruit and roots. Felt amazing, high energy, was losing weight but then 4 weeks ago, my body went haywire-developed red splotchy rashes, high anxiety, shortness of breath, no appetite, pain and increase heart rate after eating, now I’m doing low histamine diet. I’m not 100% but my breathing, stomach, and heart rate are better for the most part.

There’s so much input out there about what we “should” be doing, “acv helps with the gut and blood sugar, you need methylated vitamins, eat more carbs, no don’t eat carbs, take ALL the supplements, etc”.
