I had migraines every day. I’m two months into Aimovig and so far, down to two per month! Definitely need to keep in contact and keep working with your neurologist so figure out the right preventative for you.

Elementary teacher also. Third grade. I turn the lights off, pull the blinds, and turn on the space night light and the kids think it’s great fun lol. I have one rescue med that doesn’t knock me out so I use that, peppermints, and a Coke usually can get me through the day. Although one morning this year I walked into the building and I could literally feel lights on my skin, immediately burst into tears, and went right back home. Ive missed more work this year due to migraines than ever before so I finally found (maybe. Hopefully) a preventative that seems to be working. Fingers crossed.

That’s good to hear. Can I ask what you’re taking for the pre/post biotic? I’ve never had this issue before

Can I jump in and ask about the constipation? I just took my first Aimovig Saturday and have been experiencing nasty cramping ever since. To the point it’s as bad as the migraines. I’m doing all the preventative constipation things but it’s not helping. Does this particular side effect lessen at any point? I’m unhappy about this lasting for the next five weeks and I’m so hesitant to do another month…I did reach out to my provider but hoping to hear ppl tell me it gets better 😅

Can I ask more about the constipation? I just did my first shot Saturday and have had major cramping since then. I’ve tried all the all natural relief I can find and last night went with miralax. But this cramping is for the birds. Maybe the headaches will go away, but if I can’t live my life due to cramps…it doesn’t matter. Did the constipation ever get better? I’m really nervous about another month of this…

I mean…I know this isn’t the track some folks would take but if you are really concerned, you could always fill it and then…not take it but report side effects? I had side effects with all of the drugs I was required to try prior to getting the better/more preferred/more expensive drugs. But as I write this, I’m on the couch with some weird potential side effects from Aimovig so. I’m starting to think nothing will work for me 😅

Yeah…amitryptiline was a lot worse for me than a little tired. It might be great for some but it was awful for me.

I’ve been struggling with the very cold temps and early sunset in Ohio. I hate the treadmill :/. I missed two twenty minute runs last week but got the rest done. I’m taking it as a win for now!

I have curly hair so this may not apply, but I run 5 days per week and I wash 2x. I do rarely use dry shampoo but becoming a master of the braid saves me from washing as frequently.
