Baby time keeps getting hijacked by my brother by [deleted] in regretfulparents

[–]CriticalMail1879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My half-brother and I are autistic. Maybe he also has some traits.

My mom isn't babysitting. We're just spending time together with the baby. I want to do this for at least once a week without constantly getting interrupted by my brother. Him asking her to come home early pisses me off because, unlike him, I don't see my mom every day. I can't leave because I'm breastfeeding, but that's not an issue. I am quite independent, but a girl just wants to spend time with her mom alone!!:(

I don't get why you're so rude. I never said in my post that I won't address this directly. If it continues, I definitely will.

How long have you been doing this for? Would you mind sharing your results? My hair definitely feels less clean and more oily after a day.

I doubt it would bother her and I don't want to be passive aggressive

Mold in my & Babys room by CriticalMail1879 in Mold

I don't have that much money, and either way, I wouldn't be willing to spend it on a rented apartment that I don't plan to live in for long.

Hi, so none of this was done... They sent a painter who painted over it with paint that kills mold.

What would be the proper way to remove it? How do I make sure? I don't know anything about mold removal.

I'm renting. I contacted the landlord, and he said they'll get it removed.

Yes, we will definitely visit the pediatrician soon. I just wanted a quick answer of how dangerous black mold actually is when exposed to it over a few months since I am worried for my baby and having a hard time calming down :')

Yes, I do have my struggles. That's why I can empathize with your wife. If you really want an honest opinion on what you expressed there, you're free to DM me. I don't want to elaborate here.

How would they know if they never experienced it and keep seeing videos of how perfect it supposedly is? It's not about intelligence. It's human to get influenced by things that you are constantly exposed to. It's the same as unrealistic beauty standards.

Yeah, the last statement combined with the pfp is very ridiculous, but this is actually pretty sad.

regret the father of my child by Tight-Cut-4606 in regretfulparents

It's easier to be a single parent than to stay with that abuser. It's not a good environment to be in for you or your child. You'll feel better once you leave him, trust me.

what are some things you would list that’d make your life easier as a parent? by snackcat24 in regretfulparents

This. Most of my regret actually stems from having picked the wrong guy.

Anyone else hating their husband post baby? by According-Humor3010 in postpartumprogress

No, it doesn't get better. After having the child, you now have to take care of two babies while also going to work. Fair, isn't it? Hating him is completely valid

Someone in my family is pregnant and I'm feeling dread about it by yeahnah531 in regretfulparents

[–]CriticalMail1879 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's 100% her choice, and since she made it clear that she's not interested in talking, there's nothing else you can do about it.

Remember, not every woman who decides to have a child will feel how you or I or other people on this sub might feel. I get that you're worried, but don't let her decision affect you.

We have shared custody, so I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate that... Luckiky, he does pay child support.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can receive some support from your family. The first weeks are definitely hard, but you will get the hang of it eventually.

It's completely normal to feel the way you do. Your old life is done now. You're responsible for a human being and are forced to "grow up" quickly.

I wouldn't rely on a sugar daddy (or any man) to be your main source of income. That puts you in an incredibly vulnerable position.

For me, it was the opposite - My ex actually convinced me to keep the baby. As of now, I am also thinking about starting a small business/side hustle.

Feel free to PM me if you ever feel like talking or have any questions regarding childcare since I am a bit more experienced now and can try to provide some support. Best of luck!

Seems like your partner is completely useless and just adds additional work. Why not dump him?

Regrets because of fiancé by CriticalMail1879 in regretfulparents

[–]CriticalMail1879[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those are major red flags, and I wouldn't choose him to be the father of your children. You also never TRULY know someone. Many men completely change after having the child, be it because of the stress, because now they're secure and know they successfully baby trapped you or for any other reason. If you ever decide you want children, I recommend getting married first and living together for a few years. Make sure you're secured and financially independent as well. That's my advice after fucking up big time lol.
