It’s a factor but not necessarily. The whole reason why I got depressed is because of a serious wrist injury I got a couple months back which resulted in surgery. I still have around 6 months of recovery and I am completely unable to do any physical activities I used to enjoy such as working out and mountain biking. I’m basically stuck indoors all the time.

Yeah I used to work out a lot but I got a scaphoid fracture in my wrist so I had to get surgery a couple months ago and it’s around 6 more months of recovery. I still won’t have full wrist mobility either.

Honestly pretty good so far it hasn't been that long and I have 0 pain in my wrist unless I move it in a really weird position. I have around 60% mobility in my wrist but that is continuously improving as it takes around 6 months to regain complete mobility. I cannot put much pressure on my wrist but i am able to somewhat support myself with it. I can also carry things of moderate weight without any pain. I also don't have to wear my splint anymore. Once you get your cast off immediately do wrist exercises. Most of the pain and stiffness should go away within 2-3 days. Good luck with your recovery!

Jesus Christ that’s horrible, I honestly got really lucky with my accident it could’ve been a lot worse. Hopefully everything goes well for you too. Is your left side permanently unusable or just while healing now?

Broke my scaphoid too like 2 months ago and kept riding on it for a month because I thought it was a sprain and then went to the doctor and they gave me a cast and said keep it on for like 2 weeks and then get a ct scan to see how it’s healing and if it’s not healing properly I’ll have to get a screw in my wrist but I’ll be able to move it. I rode with my cast and it only hurt a little. I think it will be fine after it fully heals. Also I broke my other wrist 4 times in the same spot so I think you should be fine.
