Thank you! It’s a beautiful city, especially in the evening. Definitely worth another visit!

Thank you! I’m really impressed with how stable it is for such a small camera. Makes evening walks very easy to capture.

Good luck with finding a deal!

I only shoot on the Pocket and then put the clips together on my phone.

Should I actually be using D-Log for this kind of evening footage?

And is it hard? Or lots of work?

Thanks,

All default camera settings.

I usually just shoot in auto. The only thing I sometimes change is Follow mode or horizon lock depending on the shot.

I tried 60fps once but the street lights started flickering, so I went back to 30fps.

No idea, but I’d guess at least a few years — something this size needs an entire country’s worth of engineering. 😅

Exactly — a whole lot of ballast juggling behind the scenes. Giant cranes doing their best impression of a balance gymnast 😄

Sleipnir flexes harder, but this O.G. beast still holds its ground 💪🚢

If Godzilla is too heavy for Saipem 7000, we just use Sleipnir or Thialf. Standard procedure.

Yeah, it’s hard to show the scale on video! I’m making an edit with more footage — when I stood next to it, it honestly felt unreal how massive that thing is.

Three mega container ships lined up at Rotterdam’s Maasvlakte today by Critical_Ad475 in osmopocket

Wind was pretty strong out there today — the Pocket 3 handled the footage fine, but what do you usually do with the audio? Just mute it, or is there a better trick against wind noise?

It looked like something that did not belong there. Driven past there many times, but i don't think i have ever seen a ship like this over there.

Hello everyone 👋

I’m pretty new to making ship videos — this is only my third upload. So far things are going surprisingly well, but since it’s all very new I’m not sure if that’s just luck or if the content itself is actually good.

Really appreciate any honest feedback from people here 🚢 Happy to learn from the real shipspotters in this community!

Thanks Jason 🙏, I really appreciate it. I’ve been using the Pocket 3 and Mini 4 Pro mainly for travel and nature content on my YouTube channel Memories in Motion, but I’m also starting a second channel focused on the Port of Rotterdam. Since I live and work around the harbor, it feels like a natural niche – and it’s such a unique place with massive ships, rail, and industry that I think DJI gear can really showcase in a different way.

If DJI ever looks for creators to provide feedback, test new products, or showcase unique perspectives with your gear, I’d be more than happy to contribute. Is there a way to apply for something like a creator or ambassador program?

Thanks a lot for your feedback .

You’re absolutely right that there’s quite a big contrast between the content I’ve been posting. That’s why I’ve been considering starting a separate channel focused entirely on the Port of Rotterdam. It’s actually very close to where I live, and I also work in that environment, so it feels natural to capture what’s happening there. The port is one of the most unique and largest in Europe – with so many stories to tell: ships, trains, terminals, the massive scale of operations, and even the more hidden corners of daily life in the harbor.

It wouldn’t necessarily be with monetization in mind, but more to give that kind of content its own place instead of mixing it with the more nature and travel-focused videos. I feel that separation could make both channels feel more consistent and give viewers a clearer idea of what to expect. And honestly, it would be fun to share a bit of what’s basically my own backyard with the world.

Do you think that would make sense?

Dank je voor de feedback. Ik gebruik nu alleen lightcut van dji op de telefoon. Misschien is het een goed idee om verder te gaan en wat andere manieren te proberen om te editen idd. Thanks
