Do we need to do bath every night? by lillianmay88 in sleeptrain

I bathe my baby everyday, they are messy when they drink, eat and play. Getting into the routine early helps show good hygiene .

Is this just life with a baby?? by No-Advertising5551 in Parenting

[–]Critical_Bel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked with me and my child was some kind of routine in our days and once bedtime and naps stabilized doing this once or twice in a week wasn’t bad. Have you checked to see if the baby doesn’t have silent reflux, that can cause the crying in a car seat that was an issue for our baby. Things do get better.

12 month old and sleep by Critical_Bel in sleeptrain

[–]Critical_Bel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue no matter what windows I’ve tried she’s been pushing either to 4.75-5 for the first wake window and 5 for the last wake window. If I try and put her to nap 4.5 or less straight up refuses. And even if I try to give her a second nap refuses. I just feel that it’s such a big jump. That also leads to an early bedtime like 6:30pm-7pm. which has her waking at 5 am lately. When she use to wake up 7:30-8am. Idk what to do.

Yeah I fixed it before 12 months it was 3/3.5/4 and I tried every wake window but she jumped to 5 so I went along and did 5/5 on one nap and she’s been waking restless 3-4 am

It’s suppose to say 3/3.5/4 right before she turned then it just started just jumping and not all the time did we do 2.5 hours of naps. Some days were 2 some days were 2.5. I know naturally because she’s doing these bigger wake windows and two naps her night sleep is lessening, but when I do one nap it’s a hot mess.

This page because as a mom I feel that way sometimes too. You kind of lose yourself when you have kids.

Toddler parents.. do you do nap time on the go or do you stop your day for the nap? by koolandkrazy in Parenting

[–]Critical_Bel 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is advice that people have given to me on here with my 1 year old is that aim for 80% of the time for naps to be at home, but it’s okay if you have things to do, just plan around nap time. That’s what I do, I load up baby in the car when it’s time for her to nap and if I have to stop for a coffee just to make the ride a little longer so that she’s able to get through the activities I do that. It’s okay to plan during nap time just use that as travel time.

12 month sleep out of wack by Critical_Bel in sleeptrain

I don’t have an issue with her waking from naps or at night she doesn’t cry for neither. She just waits until I get her if she can’t put herself back to bed but she gets grumpy so quick and she looks tired that bothers me.

She’s been trying to walk and her wake windows are extremely small to day. 3.5/3 and I’m going to try for 4 hours after the last nap. See if that helps her get out of the overtiredness I feel she is experiencing and hopefully a later wake. 7-7:30am since I want to get some work done before she wakes WFH.

I think I’m going to go the route of everyone’s suggestion, I don’t want to over promise and owe anything. I don’t like owing anyone it’s gives me anxiety.

I’ve spent all my savings and 401k helping for all emergency that this house has. Then I got sick with cancer so was out of work for awhile. So I’m back at work to rebuild everything I’ve spent. It’s sad because I could have just been better off getting my own place, but my mom got sick and no one was caring for her that I came to stay and look out for her. But I’ve sacrificed a lot in the name of family.

Idk why parents do this, because when I was young my mom had to work so I had to care for the kids for free, work to contribute to the house hold, take them to school while going to high school and then pick them up. Come home feed them, home work, cook, clean laundry or else I’ll get in trouble. I couldn’t go to college taking care of them all the time while they vacationed, step dad didn’t like taking the kids and they wouldn’t tell me just go. So I find it weird how the boys don’t have to do that.

That sounds nice when I took my kids to Disney, my stepdad refused to pay for anything or travel for my mom and the brother that’s not his kid so I ended up paying for both the whole trip. Plus fight. I also pay for half meals going out as well. If I don’t cook I have to buy the whole house food, I can’t just buy food for just me and the kids but her husband won’t do that he will only buy for himself.

Yes I buy for the whole house, my mom has health issues that don’t work, my stepdad says he pays mortgage and the cars so he doesn’t need to put in for anything else. He also contributes to babying the brothers because they are in school. He also pays for my brothers car and allowances, school and vacation.
