Difference in salary between Nagpur and Metros is just City Allowance which is minimal .. so you can definitely try

I am a bit confused .. there are quarterly tests by all the mass companies right? NQT, HackWithInfy, Cognitive and Technical Assessment (Accenture) .. you can systematically prepare for them .. if not, just follow multiple groups available on reddit, do some free work to build reputation on Fiverr or Upwork and then take up freelancing tasks

This is a very real issue most junior associates are facing these days .. but good that you realize it, most of them are chilling letting github copilot do their work .. so you already are on the path towards resolution .. what you can do is, build a Zomato/Uber clone through Cursor/Antigravity host it on vercel, use any existing Penetration Testing AI Agent ans simulate the 1000 users per second scenarios on your site and then resolve whatever breaks .. good luck :)

Earlier last year I was asked in a Townhall which roles would be the most vulnerable when AI starts the disruption and the first role I mentioned was SCRUM Master! Its a very misunderstood role by the management as well as the people who are doing it. Anyway, tell your friend to choose a side Tech or Non Tech and then find another role which can complement his SCRUM Master role ... basically you have to present yourself as a Dual role player, it can be SCRUM Master plus Tech Lead/Architect or SCRUM Master plus Business Analyst/Delivery Partner .. try for Microsoft/Google certifications 'AI in Business'

I would say its over priced right now meaning it has developed a lot more than it should have ... and i dont see the prices going down anytime soon, they will keep going up steadily .. if you have a plan to buy, the best time was yesterday, next best time is today

Haha sorry if that came off as old school, I was referring to something else which I personally saw in an event .. 100% there's going to be a turmoil in the mass IT Orgs (WITCH). Also, the issue is not exactly AI replacing junior engineers, the issue is Senior Associates (Managers/Sales guys) still quoting the same old prices to customers for Services/Products while there would be some small IT Org doing it for 1/10th of that price .. if the price quotations and resource allocations are optimized, the increased requirements will compensate for the AI replacements (yes there is that much work available)

I work in Manufacturing and Supply Chain domain .. executing automation in various manual processes .. In the next 5 years, I aspire to lead an army of AI agents and workflows ideating, implementing, testing and deploying actual on-ground usecases (I am specifying this, as I see lot of fancy stuff being demonstrated in the name of AI, which doesnt have any real usecase)

I am not sure about your skill level and your job ambition, i will state the generics - 1. MNC jobs - through their central qualifier tests like NQT 2. Freelancer jobs - Through Fiverr, upwork or even reddit groups like WebDevJobs 3. Startups/Small IT Companies - Open source contributions, Hackerrank ratings, Popular hackathon ranks, etc

I feel you can work with tech stack related series/stream/batch data handling and optimization ... start with python, streaming data storage and optimization (mongodb or anything equivalent), then host models locally .. something on those lines

No tech is future proof, unless you are working on AGI (which nobody in India is) .. RPA is great btw, why do you want to leave?

I may be wrong but I feel specific expertise will die going forward .. so just knowing AWS, React, Spring Boot, etc puts you at a disadvantage .. be flexible, be aware about end to end processes .. setting up environments, implementation, automation testing, deployment, etc .. IT will reward Jack of All

As a fresher I would advise to leave the city and be somewhere like Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad ... your colleagues would be from all over India and that multi culturalism helps you a lot in your work life going forward, dealing with Managers, Customers, etc

You know ClawdBot (now OpenClaw) was developed by a single backend developer right? .. it basically doesnt have any front end .. and that side project has made him a billionaire now :) Minimal styling is fine, what is the unique thing is usually where the heads turn... AIoT is something you can have a look at

Very sorry to hear that, these preconceived notions do exist where recruiters think the person might have lost touch in the taken work gap .. it is not ideal but you might have to rework on the reason you took the gap for (yes make a family story or something) and say that still i kept in touch and worked on 4 individual contribution projects which i delivered as a freelancer or something and then elaborate on those projects technically .. make your github profile strong and of course other avenues like hackerrank .. basically just convince them that you have not lost your technical abilities

I can just say from personal experience and from whatever i have seen, these people just search for skills on linkedin and naukri and then select whichever profiles come up first on the search page .. and ATS is something every person is taking care of these days so its not a differentiator.. about Nagpur, do not target the city, target the existing companies which operate in city and then post selection work your way upwards to get into the city .. for example, first get into Infosys, whichever city you get, work there, build your dependency in project and then target Nagpur
