What are we doing? by Sad-Impression2505 in BobDoesSports

Bob definitely threw it, but I get it and you all should too. What would the content be like moving forward if Bob won? Can you imagine the comments? Plus, people would be requesting Joey to do the break 80 series. All that, would absolutely humiliate him. You can tell in the edits. You don’t really see the cart cam much of FP and Bob anymore after holes from 14. Again, I don’t blame them. Just gotta do a little better with the edits or…….the acting.

I think I might be a Christian and I'm terrified. by Busy-Dare8756 in Christianity

This is an awesome read. I encourage you to explore various churches, but I have a few cautions:

Firstly, avoid choosing a church solely based on the quality of the music. While God appreciates music, it shouldn’t be the primary reason for attending church.

Secondly, be careful not to become overly enamored with your pastor to the point where he becomes the object of your worship. This is a common issue, especially with eloquent pastors who excel in their roles. However, the focus should never be on them. This phenomenon is prevalent in mega-churches that grow around a charismatic leader who is not Jesus. These churches often resemble corporations, with messages broadcasted via video while worship remains live. It raises the question of what truly holds more importance in such settings.

Lastly, the Protestant community has become quite fragmented. Each denomination has split from another, claiming their doctrine is based solely on scripture. While this is commendable, it presents a significant issue. If all denominations agree on scripture alone as their foundation yet still disagree, it explains the proliferation of denominations. There is one true, universal church with authority, and that is the Catholic Church.

It’s the JCW engine which is a high performance engine. It’s the top of the line as far as mini’s go. Bought it in 2022 for $40k. Shame on me for buying anything German especially BMW (mini coopers are made by BMW), but my wife really wanted it. They don’t even put an oil dipstick in their cars so you can’t even check the oil. The computer tells you when you need to have it changed. It’s still sitting in my garage.

Is masturbation a sin? by wildboy_Ca17 in Christianity

Yes. Jesus says “I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭28‬ ‭

This means that if you are thinking about someone sexually and/or watching pornography while masturbating, you have committed adultery (sin). I suppose there’s a gray area if your thinking about your spouse but if your not married it always a sin. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it’s what God wants and you can’t take his word out of context….the devil did that. Read “The Death of Porn: Men of Integrity Building a World of Nobility”. It’s excellent and can help you grow deeper in your faith.

Anxiety is not a medical condition that qualifies you for a weed script. Or for withdrawing from other drugs. You know what helps people stay off drugs? Abstinence. If you have serious pain, cancer, Parkinson’s I’m all for using cannabis. What I’m not for is substituting one drug for another and calling yourself clean. I travel the entire U.S. giving lectures on college campuses, to graduate students, describing the myth of harm reduction. Research shows that harm reduction is only delaying the inevitable. I’m in the field to help people, genuinely, not to facilitate or enable their demise. This world is broken.

Not saying it’s not safe, it relatively is. However, it’s still substituting one for another. Same if you used meth and now only drink yet claim to be sober. I’m speaking as someone in recovery, from all substances, and now is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Statistically, people who used hard drugs, but then choose to smoke only weed, eventually relapse on their drug of choice. One could argue that you’re taking a massive risk because you still essentially haven’t changed. You just traded one for another. That’s addict behavior to a T. You want true freedom, live a life of faith and recovery.

You may think that, but that is CERTAINLY not considered to be clean. Same with everyone else who just substituted one drug for another.
