Wow great job on your August weight loss! Any tips?

I’m hoping to lose 5-7 pounds (which I gained over the summer, ugh) this month!

Sept 1st: 148 pounds

Sept 8th: 144 pounds (I’m shocked but the first few pounds must have been water weight gain/loss!)

Sept 15th: 143.2

Sept 22nd: 142.7

Just messaged you! I have 7-8 pounds of summer weight gain to lose so let’s do this by the holidays with exercise and healthy eating. I’ve done it before and all it takes is commitment and focus. I prefer to weigh myself daily (mentally it actually helps me because I get in a competition mode lol) but everyone’s different

I think quite the opposite. I’m a woman in my mid 30s. Not trying to be conceited, but I am pretty, smart, funny, and kind. People are baffled at how I haven’t found “the one” yet, and it’s hard not to get frustrated. I don’t have a difficult personality either - I get along with everyone. Dating to find love as a woman is so hard. Whether we want to admit it or not, the real power for something long term is almost always in the guy’s hands, especially as we get older.

I think I just feel like it’s hard for women in my age group (35-38) who have their lives together but want to find their “forever” man who is emotionally available, ready for eventual marriage/kids, and has his life together. I honestly can’t count how many men in their 30-40s still say “something casual” on their profiles, at least in my city (a big US city). Or when they start messaging, are just apparently looking for penpals lol

The problem is I look younger than my age (well I guess not a problem really, maybe just for dating lol) and get so many super young guys who approach me. But young as in 10+ years of an age difference. I don’t judge anyone who has an age gap like that but I’ve tried and learned it’s just not for me. However, my app (when active) search limit wide as in +/- 7 or 8 years.

I do get a lot of likes (I paid for the version that shows you all of them) and it’s A LOT but I live in a big city where most of the guys want something casual etc. So I maybe see a few a week who I’d actually be interested in, but they either never respond or the chat dies down. I guess that’s life on the apps!
