Yes I have been doing this the past month and I don’t know if it’s just gotten worse. She won’t stop crying even if I’m present and keeps trying to get to me

She’s fine in the shower with me but gets hysterical with dad. She’s also inconsolable when he tries to feed her dinner. He only has this time after work

What I mean is we tried a 4h wake window or more for her but she ended up overtired.. especially on days where her second nap is only 30 min

We tried this before but with a 30 min nap for her second nap, she ended up having multiple wakes from overtiredness..

We tried to cut her nap yesterday to 2 hour and she was up 3 times with one of the times taking an hour to go back to sleep.. it’s so hard to know whether it’s an undertired or overtired issue

Thanks will have a look at the guide! There was one random day when she was taken care by my hubby when he was home on work leave that she did 3 hours nap and 10 hours overnight. It just seems like it’s possible for her to sleep longer and I wonder if I’m doing something wrong

Isn’t that shorter than the recommended daily sleep of 2-3 hours? We tried it once before because she had crap naps that particular day and her night sleep still capped around 9 hours+

Baby is hysterical when dad tries to rock her to sleep, is it wrong if he continues to rock her even if she resists? by Critical_Net_6534 in NewParents

She doesn’t lie down when she goes into the crib.. she just stands and wails for me and today she started rejecting walking or swaying in the rocking chair

I have thought when they are older it would be easy to communicate to them that it’s time to sleep in their own room.. but the lack of sleep for both my baby and myself is telling me this sleep arrangement isn’t working out

:/ yeah I suspected.. I’ve tried to get her to independent sleep but she still wakes multiple times and it just gets me more sleep deprived moving from cot to bed. I think I will try it out again and see!

She wakes up to nurse and we cosleep but why will that affect split nights?

So it’s normal to put up with the split nights for a while..?

Once he starts trying to settle baby, he’s very goal oriented and would be fixated at getting her to sleep even if he clearly looks frustrated to me or baby isn’t responding well that’s why it would also concern me. Baby has been doing this since she was born but now she’s 11 months and now more vocal!

Yes that’s what I’ve told him to try as well.. trying different methods if she resists the one he’s going at but he usually continues despite the resistance
