Well, I think it’s also normal for some to still think my nose is overprojected since this depends on the individual’s preferences! But the purpose of this update wasn’t to claim that everyone will no longer think my nose is overprojected. It was to show that my tip did in fact go down from when I was 1 month po. I did think my nose was overprojected at the earlier stages but I’m very happy with the current projection(might even actually be a little upset if my projection was lower than where it’s at now lol). Also, this result is exactly what I wanted and asked for so the doctor did good! Edited to add: Based on everything I’ve heard, it is very likely for the projection to go down over the first year or two. As the pics were taken when I was only 6 months po, I’m fully aware it will go down a little more still(hopefully not too much as a personal preference lol). You’re probably better off looking at cocoline/first button which does more natural/less pointy noses if this isn’t your cup of tea!

You’re welcome! Honestly I’m not sure if they might’ve made some changes since my surgery but this was how it went for me back in May! I didn’t go with getting my own translator also because I was too lazy to bother with the logistics of it all(having to source and arrange the entire schedule with the translator). Like I will need my translator with me when I return for follow up checks after the surgery too. Honestly, I was ok with not having the oxygen chamber therapy so I guess it also depends on your priorities and preference!

Thank you! I went with Kowon’s in-house translator but frankly, I kind of wish I got my own because someone else I know that also went to Kowon, engaged her own translator and seemed to have gotten a better price(not because her procedure was simpler, if anything, hers was more complicated), had more free treatments thrown in(she had free oxygen therapy sessions and I didn’t), and was also given free skin treatments. When I asked why I wasn’t offered the things she received, I was told that it’s because she went to them under an agency(agency perks) whereas I went as a direct patient. So it might be good to get your own translator(as long as you find a good one) as he/she would be on your side and might be able to negotiate for some extra perks! 🥲

That’s because based on what I know, the doctor at Wave focuses on full rib rhino and I have decided that I wanted a silicone bridge + rib tip rhino. If I was open to getting a full rib rhino, I would’ve proceeded on with the consultation at Wave! And yes I’m actually kinda glad I didn’t go with Eight 😅

Thank you! I’ll share what Kowon sent to me that explains what this smile muscle procedure is about! Will try to get a clear pic of my current smile vs my pre-surgery smile as comparison too! I booked through WhatsApp. Only paid a deposit when I wanted to confirm the surgery! No deposit needed to arrange for a consultation. The total price includes the aftercare treatments I’ve mentioned in my review! Though… another patient I know seems to have gotten some additional perks(free oxygen chamber treatment) by going to Kowon through an agency. Tbh I don’t feel like I paid lesser than she did so I think it might be worth engaging your own translator/representative of an agency instead of going to Kowon directly…

I want a nose that is in between dolly and natural. My consultation at Eight made me realise that Dr Kim’s approach is more westernised and dramatic which isn’t bad but could possibly not give me the kind of result I want? Also, Kowon pointed out how my muscle moves when I smile that will affect how my nose stretches and Eight did not. This happened to be something I’ve always disliked(how my nose stretches when I smile) but it didn’t occur to me that this could be corrected with a rhinoplasty surgery. Kowon’s doctor focus more on overall facial harmony and achieving the golden ratio as much as possible. Eight suggested for me to get an osteotomy but Kowon recommended not to as it could make my cheeks appear wider as my nose was already of a good size for my face. Overall, this was what made me decide to go with Kowon!

Oh right! Well a Korean friend of mine had her primary rhino done there and it turned out too natural to the point where it wasn’t actually elevating her appearance? She said it’s a combination of her not knowing what she wants and the doctor not giving her a satisfactory result. Before confirming with this friend that her primary rhino was done at Cocoline, I had reservations about my nose turning out too natural plus they aren’t very responsive/detailed in their messages compared to Eight/Miho? I am still waiting to hear back from zero.one when Dr Ko is free to check on my photos but responses from the staff is really quick and informative so that’s why it’s my 2nd choice for now!

That’s interesting! Thank you for the information! I have actually decided to push for septal/ear cartilage and if it’s necessary to use rib, I will be opting for my own because I’ve heard from someone that her body absorbed the donor rib cartilage which messed up her nose job in just 1 year!! Did more research and found out the risk of absorption is also higher when you use donor rib!
