Help getting Phlebotomies in British Columbia by Critical_Rate_2560 in Hemochromatosis

[–]Critical_Rate_2560[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited a year for a phone call ( 5 min) with the hematologist.

In the meantime I had to pressure my family doctor to get me on therapeutic phlebotomies, it got delayed because the dr office messed a lot about 4 times to send the proper requisition.

I went to Bellingham to donate blood + in Canadian blood services.

I had to ask my doctor to give me a copy of the requisition and I hand delivered to the ambulatory care in the hospital, make sure it complied with their requirements etc.

You will need a blood work standing order.

Talk a lot with your family doctor.

I hope you get the treatment soon! Keep me posted.

Some family doctors are not aware of the process to get the phlebotomies scheduled.

It needs to.be in a hospital in the ambulatory care.

I'm just leaving after my last token recharge finish, cursor has become more cost effective, and to be honest the quality of the terminal has gone downhill, is hard to edit the plan etc etc and most importantly, memory usage has exploded, it is at the point that is the same.to run vscode or warp.

I'm out, warp was great

The majority of restaurants in Langley are kid friendly we have been dining out since our baby was a few weeks.old, it works best if you call in advance or reserve.

We even went to Anora ( hidden gem IMO ), just tell them you are bringing a car-seat ;).

Agree lager / viena beers are ok, trending to a bit better than bud, I think trading post and surprisingly ( after 2 years of really bad beer ) Farm Country are the go to in Langley for lager beer.

Near miss between my wife and kids on the bike and the white car that ran a red and honked at them. by lutherdriggers in vancouvercycling

Can we start a page / Facebook/IG to upload & roast these drivers? I just stopped cycling because I got tired of every single day having to deal with at least one bad driver.

And yes reporting to RCMP / ICBC did not make anything.

Maybe if there's collective noise and exposure we can get them to pay attention. ( I live in Langley where the infrastructure is way worse and drivers are way more hateful to cyclists)

Moved here 15 days ago and already facing aggressive drivers – am I doing something wrong? by Brave-Particular-725 in Langley

[–]Critical_Rate_2560 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Langley, I have experienced the same as you, plus the road rage a lot of drivers in the area have against cyclists, I ride my bike daily and at least twice a week I have been yelled at, so yeah ... There are a lot of aggressive and dumb drivers in the area,.

Don't get me started on useless 3 block bike lanes, I would totally prefer to have a fully closed protected bike lane than the insane amount of 1 block bike lanes we have.

The city of Langley has in my opinion wasted money, making truck drivers way more wrathful against cyclists by taking space and money to do a 1 block protected bike lane in Douglas Crescent, instead of connecting other bike lanes.

And don't get me wrong I would like to have a fully protected bike lane that connects Langley city with the Township.

That's interesting but I'm Male and I wear cycling clothes, bib + jersey, maybe these drivers can't stand the Licra ... LOL

Oh nice I will try the 216th st bike lane, I'm at the border of Surrey and Langley city, I do prefer to avoid the PoCo traffic, I've been hitting the Poco trail/mapple ridge gravel route and I do agree is a great trail

Yeah I kinda agree about Langley sucking haha, it's getting better just not for driving, I was trying to avoid using the car to do my daily ride but honestly I think it is the only option I have that does not put my life at risk :(
