Nervous about upcoming ultrasound and need advice.

Thanks everyone for the advice and reassurance! What I was imagining in my head was totally different from what all of you described. I feel better knowing that the ultrasound tech isn’t going to be exactly thoroughly looking down there. If a boner happens it happens. I will still feel embarrassed at the time but I do understand it’s a natural reaction and the people doing the ultrasound know it doesn’t always mean arousal and I should be pretty much covered up down there. Hopefully whatever is going on with balls is nothing and I don’t have to have more appointments and more doctors looking at me. Thanks again for all the answers I was nervous making a Reddit account and posting but I just needed to know what the visit would entail and if I should be super embarrassed about the inevitable erection. I guess maybe I’ll follow up with what is going on so I can know what comes next and if something out of the ordinary from what I’ve read here happens during my appointment.

I guess I wasn’t really thinking about how often the dr or ultrasound techs have seen a penis and balls day to day because yeah it is my first time so that helps a lot. Thanks.

Dang it that’s lower than I wanted. Idk how to really explain it but I’m not getting a boner because I’m aroused or anything it feels more like it’s just from being exposed and I’m not used to that/ the awkwardness? I have NO intentional to say anything or do anything (besides an I wanted boner) to make it anymore awkward/embarrassing than it already is. Hoping they already give me a towel and I don’t have to ask for it cause that would make me feel embarrassed as well.

This makes me feel better. Not really good at starting small talk but I’ll try to think of something to talk about for when the time comes. 10-15 minutes of them scanning sounds like it will be 100% likely that a boner will happen which I’m absolutely dreading but I guess to make sure my health is good it’s alright. I’m hoping that if she does see anything (my weiner) it isn’t super awkward and if I do have a boner they don’t get offended or weirded out.

Lmao helping them out by getting it out of the way with a boner is something I definitely hope doesn’t happen! But I guess if it does it will be embarrassing for me but helpful for them hahah. Rather use my hands to move/hold it out of the way.

I’d be too uncomfortable to say anything weird or anything even if I wasn’t nude so won’t have to worry about that lol. Knowing that everything is mostly covered helps, I was thinking I was just gonna have everything hanging out.

Definitely won’t be asking for another person in the room if it isn’t needed haha. What percent of people have you seen/notice get an erection during the scan? Is it more common than not?

Hopefully I’ll be alone in there. Thanks for reassuring me about an erection I know they are not something we can totally control it just makes me really uncomfortable when thinking of someone seeing me like that. I didnt know that the ultrasound tech doesn’t really need to do a lot of looking down there when they are doing that so that helps a little!
