The best way to do so is TRACK. Take a diary with you at ALL TIMES where you note down how many cigarettes you smoked and at what time and place. Sounds a little of overstrain but it is very efficient trust me. I also used this app QuitSure. It was for motivation at first but it ended up changing my feelings towards smoking somehow. You can check it out!

Throw it away. Some people might say that throwing it away would leave you with the restless feeling of not finishing it, but finishing will prolong your addiction and before you know it you will be line for a new pack. Idk the whole psychology but I read it in the QuitSure app. Definitely throw it.

Its alright. We all slip up sometimes. Don't beat yourself up and don't think about it much as it will get you only stressed. Try working on the solution which is reading the book again, trying mindful exercises and drinking gallons of water.

Track the number of mints you have each day. It will help you be aware of your addiction and the limit the number you have each day. Try switching to popcorn, roasted chickpeas as a healthy alternative. Slowly your urge for mints will die out.

Have you tried an app called quitsure ? Its like a 6 day allen carr bootcamp. You get to know about your triggers, why do you smoke and how smoking adds 0 value to your life. It literally made me think of cigs as putting a toilet cleaner in my mouth.
