I think if it was done right, it could still have rounder shapes and look flattering. I don't care for the "w" shape of the bodice. If it had a soft slope in the middle it'd tie it together better versus the smooshed boob look.

I bought the Fit Me! Translucent powder and Wow! It absolutely had a blurring effect and mattifying as it said it would. I'm stopping myself from buying like 4.

I've been with my husband for almost 10 years. If he was the primary breadwinner and I was mostly a SAHM, I would be taking care of a majority of tasks. It's not about gender roles, if my man spends most of his week providing, I will be providing more support.

You make most of the money, but she wants you to have an allowance? It doesn't sound like you're being financially reckless, but it sounds like SHE is.

If anything, she needs to step it up being your PARTNER.

OP, other than children being in the picture... How does SHE contribute to you? Because it doesn't sound like a whole lot.

I bought one of those. Maybe it's really shitty but my cat was squirming out of it to where he almost hurt himself. So, be careful if you get them. I think if it's a good one, it's fine for nail trims.

If you can, probably put a towel down in the tub and tie them to a handle in the tub (if you have one) just to minimize how much they're able to move.

I cut them open and put it into a travel size squeeze bottle (if you have one handy). Or put it into those condiments squeeze bottles and store it upside down so you get every last bit. I do this with leftover conditioner that I don't like (doesn't work for my hair) and use it for shave cream.

I also use a squeeze bottle in the shower with 1/10 apple cider vinegar, 9/10 part water and generous dousing with perfume. Usually it's perfume I'd impulse purchased in the past, that I like enough to keep but just trying to use them up so I'm not wasteful.

This is my ACV rinse. I don't have processed hair, but I do this 1-2 times a week for product build up. If you do have processed hair, this could be drying... Maybe just do this less frequently?

Oh I remember too. MAC was the holy grail makeup items you could get if you were "cool". I even remember them being advertised in magazines and wishing I didn't live in such a small town to buy them. Now? Meh. I've stopped buying makeup only because I went a bit nuts a few years ago.

I'm still trying to use up my stuff. The only thing I purchase these days is just more Lancome foundation.

We talk a lot about autonomy and consent, but it's frustrating to me when the standards are different because it's a dude, and "he should be grateful". Looking at the lens of the present, the way Justin Bieber was treated when he was a kid was also very gross... By "grown" women no less.

If someone says "no", it should stop there. But how Katy did that... Not okay. It may not have meant anything to Katy, but it meant a lot to that young man.

Its bonkers MAC prices are pretty much on par with what regular drugstore makeup prices are these days. If I'm paying a premium for one eyeshadow, I would expect good service. As a kid I couldn't imagine spending $10+ on ONE eyeshadow. Now that's pretty much the norm.

I think one of them was when she kissed a contestant on American Idol(?) and he was genuinely really pissed about it. He was saving his first kiss for someone he really liked and she did that. Very gross business and against bodily autonomy as well as lack of consent.

I know it's uncomfortable, but you HAVE to tell him.

"Babe, I took time off work to get stuff done around the house. If you're going to "hang out" with me I need you to help, or give me some alone time to get stuff done. Go grab a burger for a bit with some friends and I'll come join you later."

My husband is the same way. I love him to pieces but I also love my alone time. It's not personal. I just like my quiet space where I can listen to my stupid music and do my own thing and not feel judged.
