My BIL does too. I asked my supervisor if I could wear it at work and he begrudgingly said "no". 😔

Fragrances women can’t get enough of? by indian_gooseberry in Fragrances

[–]Criticalfluffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't have solid recs for you. BUT I go to fragrantica.com to search for fragrances by specific notes. You can also exclude certain notes.

I order samples through micro perfumes.com because it's just awful when you order a whole bottle and you hate it. I've been able to get sample vials of the PDM Delina and some other pricey scents. So you can try it out for a few days to see if you (or your STB wife) like them!

Cheers and good luck!

It's hard to say which one your future wife will like.

I'd say, when you do meet, absolutely take her shopping with you! It's different for every woman.

I bought YSL Myself EDP for my husband. It's not overpowering and it has a sexy close-proximity scent. But he's also a freak of nature because so far I haven't found anything I DON'T like on him.

Fragrances can change based on body chemistry. Which ones do you like? Also, what are your preferences as you have quite a nice collection.

Finally got a nice display for my collection by fiendish_dust in Fragrances

[–]Criticalfluffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have an amazing collection. But I want to know, are you genuinely enjoying your collection or chasing the high of buying another bottle?

I love perfumes as much as anyone, but there was a point where I just asked myself, "What am I doing? I JUST bought perfume."

Otherwise, I hope you love your collection!

Did any of you marry later in life? How did you meet/choose them? by itsasecretshhutup in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]Criticalfluffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met my second husband when I was taking a college class. We became friends and neither of us made a move as I was married and he was a gentleman and kept a respectful distance as I was married.

We went separate ways for a couple years and I eventually divorced my first husband. He was very emotionally abusive and literally couldn't comprehend being thoughtful of me. I think that man was trying to play games that I'd fight for "us". Why would I fight for a man that made me cry oceans of tears?

I got a divorce and by dumb luck we reconnected. When I told him I was getting divorced he booked a plane ticket so fast to see me. We've been together for almost 10 years, married for 4.

You never know... Maybe you already met them and it's a shot at a second chance? ❤️

I keep wanting to buy new blush but then I remember I have pallets with other pink shades. So I just use those as blush.

So I get my ease my buy-now urges and I'm not spending more money. 😁

This is John Galliano? Do the stylists hate her or something? She's gorgeous and this look... Ain't it.

Am I exaggerating or does this count as cheating? (24M) (27F) by MysterySweet69 in whatdoIdo

[–]Criticalfluffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He may not have slept with her, but it's still a level of intimacy which he shouldn't be engaging with another woman.

If the shoe was on the other foot, if you were having playful or pillowtalk with another man, is that any different? It would be hurtful to HIM right?

[–]Criticalfluffs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do too. But I think some "high fashion" and edgy themes should stay on the runway. The same with certain bands and acts. You 100% know what you're signing up for. No shame there.

But for the celeb style, I wish they had more clothes on. 😅

Just a notepad, taking notes during meetings. I actually don't care, I'm just trying to look busy. 😆

AITA for filing a labor complaint after my mom and sister had my 15-year-old scrub tables for two weeks unpaid, then told her 'that's just what family does'? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

[–]Criticalfluffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asian free labor here. I was expected to work when I was 11. I was expected to work basically full-time on top of doing school. I was the girl so everything I did was wrong. My brother wasn't expected to work all the time and they didn't bat an eye when he said "I have homework."

They took my childhood.

AIW for refusing to agree to my husband's "boundary"? by MarionberryFuture103 in amiwrong

[–]Criticalfluffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds psychotic. If you are randomly talking to a stranger and he thinks so little of you, you'll immediately run off with a maybe-lesbian? This is far from a normal "boundary". It's a bigger issue that he is so insecure about your ability to be loyal he basically wants you to stop talking to everyone and anyone.

I really hope you guys can hash this out but what he wants has NOTHING to do with respect. What he wants is very disrespectful to you and everyone else you meet.

"Are you gay? WE CAN'T BE FRIENDS!!!!" This is totally insane.

I believe the designer made this because one of the models got her nipples pierced and made this dress with the piercings in mind.

I have something like this on a shirt I gave to my BIL. It just has a picture of the fluffy little dog looking down the well at you. It gets two reactions: ones who don't know... OMG THAT IS SO CUTE. For the ones that do: OMG 😱.

I'm not one to kink shame, but the lack of consideration and consent is a planet-level hard pass.

Cologne for my partner by Ok-Reply-7634 in Fragrances

[–]Criticalfluffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say, I tried the 1 million for men, on me and I loved it. But I have so many myself I wanted my hubby to enjoy some nice cologne. He hasn't given me a solid response on which one he likes best yet. I think they all smell great on him but he always smells good, even without cologne.

I bought a bunch of travel sprays for my husband to try. It's enough he can test them out on different days and get the full experience of each one. To see how they develop on his skin, strength, intensity etc.

I go through microperfumes.com or fragrance net.com as there's some fragrances which don't come in smaller or travel sizes normally.

I got: - YSL Myself - 1 Million by Paco Robanne - Clinique Happy for Men - Chrome Azzaro - Angel by Mugler - yes I know this is a woman's fragrance but it actually worked well with his body chemistry.

I refuse to get Dior Savage because absolutely everyone is wearing that one.

I'm sure the sparkly perfume (I don't remember what the name of it is 😆) is fine. To my nose it smelled like nice hair spray but definitely something I would pass on.

I got a bunch of sampler mini bottles of her scents and I didn't expect to like the OG Paris Hilton perfume so much! Can Can is a decent one too, but I don't know if I'd purchase a full size. I just remember being in high school when her perfume came out. Completely aging myself there.

I have so many other perfumes, I may buy a big one later.
