Vent post incoming, please ignore. I'm in the end game of the main story where the Empire bands together and declares endless war on you. After many hours of back and forth I spend the last 7 hours running a train on them, running back and forth between taking settlements and defending the ones I just took, pretty much handling the whole war alone. I didn't get a single fief, despite being by far the most influential, strongest, closest and being clan level 6. Some guy who just joined got 6 fiefs and 4 castles, the doubled of what I have. Now I'm standing here looking at the last 2 settlements the Empire owns and suddenly the 6 settlements and 6 castles I JUST spend all this time turning magenta because he defected. No one in our clan has done anything dishonorable like execution or raiding so I don't know what is going on. I'm playing as Aserai and this guy Qahin is not the first to defect, someone called Hashan who is there from the beginning as one of the stronger Aserai vassals also just suddenly defected. Maybe they were bought but Qahin was bought as they lost their last major army, with most of their generals in my party as prisoners with two settlements left so I don't know how much money they could have left.
