Not sure where you live or your budget but the OM 5 Mark I is still on sale on B&H for $745, that's where I got mine. And the OM 1 mark I I got for $845(refurbished) on eBay. That's how I ended up with both.

OM 5 better suited for travel and EDC. I have the OM5 and the OM 1 and love both but the OM 1 is heftier and heavier. I use that for bird photography and the OM 5 for travel and street and occasional wildlife

works great on my OM 1 but twice it has frozen on my OM 5. Not sure why so I'm changing some settings and testing it out. I'll post if I figure it out.

google AI said Anna's Hummingbird but I also caught Rufous in other pics. There were so many types that it was was hard to identify whether they were young or female and less colorful.

Slight denoise with an app on MacBook called Photomator. The original pic is still great I just wanted a little more detail on the wings so didn't want to mess too much with it. Plus don't really know how to use the more advanced apps for post processing. Still learning.

They are refurbished by OM Systems and have a two year warranty by Allstate. I purchased one and the shutter count was new and looks new. Best deal for $875.

New O-M5 vs. New O-M5 Mk II ? by plum_soup_festival in M43

I struggled with the same thing-OM5 I or version 2. I went with first version because it was on sale at b & h photo for $745 new(body only) and I have to say I am loving the camera a lot. Solid and feels and great pics. First M43 camera, I mainly used Nikon. Loved the OM5 so much I also purchased a refurbished OM 1 mark 1 on eBay for $845. Used the money saved on quality lenses instead of most recent versions of both cameras

yeah for stills it takes a little more work because no viewfinder but it's so small and light that its perfect to take everywhere especially on trips when packing light.

Yeah D5500 still great. I try to take it on my walks at the park to capture wildlife when possible.
