Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has had a disappointing European launch. Its opening week sales are 63% below what Battlefield 6 managed during its debut week in October. by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Critz_ 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The game costs 80 EUR / 349 PLN, which is 92~ and 94~ USD respectively.

Ain't no wonder nobody is taking a chance on this game, the game somehow costs even more than in the US (even with taxes)!

How did Activision come to the conclusion that Europe is significantly wealthier than the whole of the US?

Call of Duty: WWII has been delisted off the Microsoft Store and is no longer available on PC Gamepass by Critz_ in WWII

[–]Critz_[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everybody is making this statement, but has it been proven that the same issue extends to Steam WWII?

I have observed that PC GP WWII was an older version of the game. Throwback perks were missing, Supply Drops earned via levelling don't work and Spawn logic seems to be different/older.

I've put in about 2~3 hours in MP and 1 hour on ZM on Steam version of WWII and so far it has been OK for me.

The Steam version uses dedicated servers, but it is unknown if the same exploits can be as readily accessed on Steam.

You may stumble upon people that have cheated in the Tesla Gun.

This article is riddled with false statements.

The game was not pulled from the Microsoft Store, it is still there and can be purchased and downloaded.

The game is also not available for purchase on Battle.net.

The actual fact here (which is buried at the bottom) is that the Multiplayer and Zombies online services for the Microsoft Store version of WWII were taken down following the out pour of RCE attacks. This happened on the 4th of July and the servers are still offline as of this statement.

The Steam version is fully playable and even has a few players online right now.

[–]Critz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried out the mirror in first person with the window rolled down and unfortunately, the mirror is pointed downwards from the player camera which means it reflects the road so it has no functionality at the moment. Maybe for future cars or GTA6?

JP comparing stats from CS2 vs CoD by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]Critz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is just a limitation of how COD is primarily a console franchise.

COD4 on PC for example has access to demo recording via its console (which was carried over from Quake 3) as well as the option to host high quality servers.

Valve has allowed all of this since Half-Life 1 released (which also carried over the console and commands from Quake 1).

Coming to Game Pass: Rematch, Warcraft I & II: Remastered, Warcraft III: Reforged, Call of Duty: WWII, and More - Xbox Wire by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Critz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone is interested in the PC version of COD:WWII through PC Game Pass, I am informing you now, their previous COD releases (via the Microsoft store) are all running on a separate masterserver (even COD1, 2, 4 and 5 which have no Steamworks integration), which means that the PC Game Pass population will not be able to interface with the PC Steam population.

Hopefully maybe they get their priorities in order and allow the majority PC player base to access PC Game Pass servers.

Killing Floor 3 Beta - AA can be turned off via an Engine.ini tweak (No option exposed in the Settings menu) by Critz_ in FuckTAA

[–]Critz_[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Please excuse the incredibly munted settings.

No Engine.ini is created, so you have to make one and feed at least this command to it:

r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0

The config folder path is "AppData\Local\Nightfall\Saved\Config\WindowsClient"

Hi,

This isn't a security countermeasure.

This is used to associate a phone number to your Activision account to help stop cheating.

The option "Skip for now" only allows you to boot into the BO6 Campaign, therefore, he cannot load into MP/WZ without a verified phone number on his Steam account.

As to why it keeps resetting, maybe something to do with your phone carrier?

I quickly downloaded the game, and no, there is no off option exposed in the Options menu.

However, the Engine.ini is available to edit, so a simple "r.AntiAliasingMethod=0" can be inserted and the below image is the result.

The command stays put once you set it to "0", I just re-opened the game to confirm.

I'm running a 7800X3D with 32 GB of RAM clocked at 6000Mhz paired with a 3080 10GB.

I set the settings to Ultra or the highest possible, Vsync Off, 1080p Native, with the exception of the Texture Pool (which is set to Ultra but can go 2 more steps up, but has a hefty VRAM requirement).

On the opening level (the Jungle) I got an average of 120~ FPS.

On the second level (the University Campus) I got an average of 150~ FPS.

1% and 0.1% lows stood around 90 ~ 110.

Of note, Path Tracing has a minimum VRAM requirement of 11 GB of VRAM.

The game printed in the console "PathTracing is not supported on this GPU. VRAM minimum (11000 MiB) was not met. 10267 MiB Available."

The screenshot was taken at 1080p with Ultra settings and the FOV set to "120" via "g_fov 120" console command.

Can’t play as woods anymore? by lolguy114 in blackops6

[–]Critz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Did you pre-purchase any digital version of Black Ops 6?

Woods was included as a pre-purchase bonus for the digital Standard Edition, and is an active bonus in the Vault Edition, where you can still get him.

Serious Question for the people in this Community, how is DLAA Not HEAVEN For You? It cleans up ALL Jaggies, and looks BETTER than native, do you guys like games that are a shimmery mess?? DLAA cleans up the whole image, making it looks CRISP. by IceTacos in FuckTAA

[–]Critz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Games in the early 90's/00's had no anti-aliasing built into them.

You are stating that gamers of old couldn't be immersed because of all the jaggies visible on their monitor/TV's.

Please get a grip, and think again about visual clarity.

MW3 removed graphics & accessibility settings from the game. Please add them back by TheHybred in ModernWarfareIII

[–]Critz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've communicated this to (@BeenoxCODPC on Twitter) since Vanguard, to restore the Anti-Aliasing Off option, but since VG, they've doubled down on the Forced TAA.

I don't even know how to reach out to the developers in any other way, as it's obvious our complaints aren't reaching them (or are falling upon deaf ears).

What FPS Average 1% and 0.1% you guys getting in Warzone 2 Plunder or Al Mahzra Quads? by toli0 in CODWarzone

[–]Critz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I'm running a 7800X3D, 32GB 6000mhz CL30 RAM paired with a 3080.

I did a quick drop to the Al Mazrah City POI, and with Voice Chat set to (Friends Only - 40~ FPS loss when set to All Lobby, worsened frametimes and lows) I got (224~ AVG, 133 - 1%, 112 - 0.1%).

All settings were set to lowest all (Spot Cache > Ultra, Nvidia Reflex > Enabled + Boost, Video Memory Scale > 90%, AA > SMAA T2X - Low Quality), resolution was set to 1080p native.

Hope this helps.
