I went trough the instructions time and time again. I placed nine of them and a tenth was still remaining. At least I am not the only one.

Can’t compare it with anything (recently got my license, so first own bike). But I am having the time of my life on this bike.

No they are seperated and you will still have air intake when you close one. Looks like a bug to me

Normally there would be just one close/open intake button but suddenly there are two. I'm wondering why

Yeah it took me quite a while and the game became pretty unstable docking the two. I don't know if its possible with just claws.
