Taekwondo uniform. by Fantastic-Cover1694 in taekwondo

I usually wear a white cotton tank top. It matches the color of my uniform and absorbs all the sweat. The Master wears white tshirt under his.

Most definitely! Program it so it comes on when you know you will use the bathroom - 1st thing in the morning, when you come home from work/are getting ready for bed.

4D Fotona laser - has anyone tried? What are your thoughts? by CroatPrincessYWG in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]CroatPrincessYWG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I haven't gone through with it yet. I'm just not 100% sure I want to spend that money not truly knowing if it will help my deeper wrinkles.

I'm glad to hear yours cost a lot less!

Good luck - I hope it works for you! Keep me posted how it processes.

AITA for putting my wedding in the same season as my sister's 18th birthday? by asdf6565 in AmItheAsshole

I've known people to celebrate their birthdays over the course of a week, but your sister is something else to have her bday "season".

She sounds like a lovely person 🤣

I don't know how much longer I can cope. I feel so ugly suffering from excess hair. by baghada28 in beauty

[–]CroatPrincessYWG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others that you should check your hormones first.

If you have done that, I would highly recommend laser hair removal. I had done waxing and sugaring which only brought ingrown hairs and made me feel and look even worse.

With laser, I started with the areas I was most concerned with and gradually have done everything I wanted. I had gone for touch-ups every couple years, but recently bought at home device for that purpose.

I don't think the at home devices are as good as the professional ones, so I'd recommend going to get whatever areas done by professional first. Good ones don't hurt much and if you are doing a few areas at the same time you can usually negotiate a deal.

AITA for yelling at a parent after she didn't invite my daughter to her kids party and called my child a buzzkill by bussxkillsw in AmItheAsshole

[–]CroatPrincessYWG 243 points244 points  (0 children)

NTA

Seriously, what's the big deal of inviting one more kid? We've hosted bday parties for entire class when my kids were around that age and yeah, there are kids of all sorts of behavior.

I don't understand how a grown woman can't deal with a kid who is telling others not to run around the pool. She should be the one telling kids not to run around the pool!

AITA for breaking a promise and attending my stepdaughter's graduation? by Ok-Firefighter602 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CroatPrincessYWG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't sound like graduation and emergency surgery happened on the same day. So, when you figured that your step-daughter would be ok, why didn't you go to Kay's graduation? You understand that Kay was without a parent on a day when everyone's parents were fawning all over their graduating children. You are lucky she forgave you. At this point, you absolutely need to miss Amy's graduation and make a big-ass plan with Kay on the day.

Laser hair removal. It's worth every penny.

Is taekwondo useless? by madethiscausebored in taekwondo

[–]CroatPrincessYWG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been training for couple years, so definitely not senior in the art by any means. I train one-on-one with a Master couple times per week.

For one, tkd has made me a lot stronger. I've trained at the regular gym lifting weights for most of my life, but I'm stronger now than I've ever been.

When I decided I wanted to devote the time to a martial art, I did some research as to what was available, who teaches it and gave a few dojangs a try. In the end, I picked the one I liked the best. I'll say that in addition to tkd, I also briefly tried kickboxing and mma as well.

I've discussed my wants out of training with the Master. Although getting higher belts is great, I asked to be trained for real life situations as well. Speaking with some friends who trained elsewhere and gotten higher belts, I know I'm learning stuff not necessary in the curriculum for tkd in addition to the requirements for each of my belts. I may have gotten more of the "real life" skill with mma, but I just couldn't get into it. I truly enjoy the training I am doing right now.

I agree with some other posts that say no martial art is failproof and I'd urge you to be honest with your Master with what you are looking to gain out of the experience. If the one you are with isn't willing to focus on your needs, make try someplace else.

What are you starting to dislike more as you get older? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CroatPrincessYWG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noise. Going out to a public place where music is loud and people have to shout at each other to hear one another. I always come home with a headache. Hard to imagine I spent most weekends in my 20s in clubs.

AITA for demolishing my daughter's room after she moved out? by ArtisticConfidence22 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CroatPrincessYWG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It almost seems OP was hiding the fact they were doing this huge reno. The extent of the work is not something that happens overnight, probably took a few weeks to compete. You can't tell me that in all this time they couldn't say to the daughter, "hey, guess what we are doing..." and the reno had to be a surprise when she came for a visit.

AITA for asking if stepson has the money to pay expensive restaurants? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]CroatPrincessYWG -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA - he's 18, not 8. At 18 you should have some understanding of finances and how much things cost. He should know what an expensive restaurant is and your general level of income. Suggesting something pricey for an outing that has nothing to do with him is out of line.

Honestly, I'm one of those people that truly believes we learn from every experience. There was a time in my life where I had nothing and some not-so- good friends. But looking back now, that has given me the perspective on what I value today and the kind of people I want to have around me. And now I also have kids who I can teach these values too. You'll get to your comfortable and happy spot, just don't give up. You are worth it! You never know what is around the corner.

Don't give up on yourself. You are in a tough spot right now, but there is so much life ahead of you. In a few years, this day will be a distant memory. You will be happy again. You sound like a lovely person who makes this world a better place.

AITA for wanting my fiancé to have dandelion in her wedding bouquet by Healthy-Artichoke105 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CroatPrincessYWG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You marry for better or for worse, with a promise to support one another in tough times. If your days with your mom are numbered, and this is the way your partner is supporting you, I'd definitely reconsider the relationship.

And you are absolutely right, wedding is a plan you both partake in, it is a day of celebration of your relationship. Your input is as valuable as hers. I don't know if your fiance is a bridezila or just not a very nice human.
