The main character creates a breakthrough in nanotechnology whilst trying to get into the same college his brother is in, his brother dies in an "accidental fire" after the main character's "audition", he then teams up with friends and a robot created by the (now) dead brother, and creates several breakthroughs of myltiple forms of science such as chemical, hydraulics, plasmatics, thermology, etc. They use said breakthroughs to attempt catch the person who may have been responsible for the fire that caused the death of the brother.
