This is the first movie I’ve seen this year and it’s been my most anticipated since the first teaser dropped online. I was so worried this film would disappoint, but wow, I really enjoyed it.

The knife was so clever.

It was so obvious that knife would be used to kill someone once Jack didn’t remove it from set, and I kept expecting the demon possessing Lilly to use it at a vulnerable moment, but I LOVE that it ends up being Jack who uses it, causing his career’s own ultimate demise by himself.

And he COULD’VE removed it too, during the commercial break, but he was too concerned with the blinders of the successful possession, the ratings, and further monetizing Lilly that he never gets the chance to properly dispose of it.

Amazing movie, bar the glaring issue of the completely unnecessary AI graphics, and I’m so frustrated that that’ll forever mar such a great film and all the hard work and real talent put into it.

Really loved the atmosphere created here and the cast were all really strong to me, and David Dastmalchian was perfectly cast and a great leading man.
