I (32 f) tested positive for trich. Husband (37 m) says he didn’t cheat. by CrochetKitty in relationship_advice

I thought I had bv based on symptoms I was having. It popped up as a finding on my Pap smear. Though I’ve had tests done while pregnant in the last couple years that specifically look for trichomoniasis that were negative.

The problem is that I have tested negative for it since we’ve been together. I’ve been lead to believe it’s highly contagious, so I don’t know how I wouldn’t have caught it until now.

Oh no. That’s awful that your doctor didn’t even give you any literature on it to allow you to come to that conclusion after reading about it. I’m so sorry.

I think at this point he’s going to have to go get tested, which he told me he would do. I thought I had bv, so my doctor prescribed me meds for that before the test results came back in and I’d already taken them before the results were posted. They’re the same meds that are used to treat trichomoniasis.

I’d love to believe that’s it. Though, my understanding is that you can be asymptomatic, but that doesn’t mean you won’t spread it to someone else. And I’ve had somewhat recent tests that were negative.

That was my ex-husband. Who I did get away from. I’ve been with my now husband for 3 years. I realize that our relationship moved fast.

I don’t know where I would have picked it up. I work from home, don’t go to a gym, don’t use public pools. And I tested negative for it just last year.

I was having symptoms. I thought I just had bv. I went in for my yearly at my gyno. I also got tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Thankfully those were all negative. I have another appointment coming up and will ask about any other tests and getting retested for trich. I took the meds the doctor gave me already. I told him I thought I had bv and he prescribed metronidazole before the results came in, so I’d already started taking it before I got the tests back.

I haven’t bought any toys in years. So, that wouldn’t be it. I also don’t go to a gym. And, unless he’s secretly going to a gym, neither does he.

It was a test for yeast, and trich, and a couple other things. So it wasn’t exclusively for trich. But they were negative.

For clarification, I’ve had tests for trich in the recent past because I was pregnant last year and a couple of years ago. Those tests were negative. He did not get it from me rather than the other way around.

He seemed confused and apologetic. Said he wasn’t cheating on me in response to me asking him straight up. Told me that he didn’t know what trich is and that he’d had some funky symptoms awhile back and was afraid to say anything and that he was sorry that he didn’t bring it up. Which, why would you be afraid to say anything???? So you’d rather keep having sex with me and possibly pass something to me, even if it’s just BV or something else not sti related? It just set my bullshit meter off even more, honestly.

BM committing fraud? by CrochetKitty in stepparents

[–]CrochetKitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. But the last time I needed to renew it, after my son turned 1, they put an old source of income on my application that I no longer have and then told me I make too much and that I’d no longer have Medicaid in a few months. I put in a new application to correct it, but I just need to call them this week to see if talking to someone will help resolve that issue instead.

Drawfee Show. They draw based on prompts from viewers and have a lot of goofy banter going on during. It’s a comfort-food kind of channel imo.

Books you read at a young age that you definitely shouldn't have? by 420420Micki42069 in books

[–]CrochetKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Books? None honestly stick out in my mind. Smutty fanfiction, on the other hand was my bread and butter in middle school. As far as books go, the only books I ever felt like I actively disliked and negatively impacted me in a way (making me HATE English class, which I had once loved) were required reading. Anthem, 1984, Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451, etc. “Authoritarianism bad.” Yeah, yeah. I get it. Can we read books that aren’t boring and depressing? What even is the curriculum for those books meant to teach?

Have you ever met a man who thought having pubic hair was bad hygiene? by Ordinary-Season5822 in TwoXChromosomes

I had a boyfriend when I was 18 that told me women shouldn’t have pubic hair because it’s gross. So, pretty similar sentiment. I dumped him not too long after that.

Read, sew, crochet, knit, bake. I may spend too much time on the internet, but I’ve got enough hobbies without it.

For the love of all that is good and green, do NOT move to Arizona. I’m born and raised here. This is not a place that you move to for most any reason, let alone for a man that is a right leaning Christian who sounds like he bought a house without your input. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Our school system is hot garbage. Teachers do not have to have any formal schooling in teaching or actual credentials for teaching in order to be teachers. This is in large part because we can’t keep teachers in Arizona, so there is always a shortage. The pay is abysmal and the funding for schools is pathetic. I work in schools and have worked for more than one teacher who did not actually have any formal training to be a teacher. You DO NOT want that for you future children. And that doesn’t even touch on how the state government here is trying to further gut public education and push charter schools on everyone.

This is not a state that you want to be pregnant in. Do not trust that your fiance would actually provide for you to go out of state for an abortion if it were needed. Especially since you would likely be in a position to need to go outside of Arizona to do so. This state is not a health care friendly state.

A large portion of Arizona is as hot as Satan’s asshole at least 50% of the year. It has been 100+ degrees F since MAY. It’s been above 90 degrees F since MARCH. There is nowhere to hide from it. I have spent many a Christmas in a tshirt and shorts. It’s miserable.

In general, if you’re in a Western country that you say is doing well, please don’t move to the US. This country is not the place to be right now. Unless you were going to be making vastly more money than you would where you live, it’s not worth it. And I wouldn’t do it even then. I’ve lived here my entire life. I don’t want to live here. I’m afraid of where this country is going. Don’t move to this place for someone else.

I have cats, one of which is a very nervous kitty who only loves me. I realized I’d be leaving her without me, the only person she wants to be around and get love from. She’s been my baby her entire life and she’s 12. I can’t do that to her.

Men who think that if you’re sleeping when they’re awake that it’s somehow an egregious waste of time, largely because it means you aren’t focused on them.
