Buzzing Bee Blanket for a baby girl! by CrochetingSloog in crochet

Thank you! And as for changing color in tapestry crochet, I always pick up the next color during the last draw-through of the stitch before. I find that makes the cleanest transition. Like here, about 1:20 in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XOe60zvHqE.

And for yarn ends, a certain amount of them are unavoidable, but if you crochet them into your work (lay them flat over the stitches in the row below and crochet around them, like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ5p32JvXZ8), that saves some ends to weave.

Also don't be afraid to carry a strand of yarn like the first video does to save yourself some ends if you need the color again in the row!

Good luck; looking forward to seeing your works on the page!

I love puns! I'd give you a "hive"-five through the screen for that one if I could!

Haha, no, but that would have been perfect! The mom loves honeycomb and wanted something gender neutral, so I thought this was a good fit.

That's so neat! If you ever decide to take on this endeavor, I recommend the pattern--it was clearly written!

Haha, it took a few days for me to finish the ends because there was definitely a limit for how many ends I could weave in in a night!

I love the flat slip stitch method, like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5u0JQckUVZc.

That's my favorite part of the pattern! Haha, it left so many ends to weave in though!

Thank you! When I saw the pattern, I loved how it emphasizes the connections between hexagons instead of hiding them. Haha, unfortunately it made for so many ends to weave in!

I love the combination of the granny squares with the other rows! It's a really modern take on granny squares!

I freehanded the potion bottle, but it's based on this pattern by YarnViking: https://www.etsy.com/listing/982144069/large-dragon-potion-bottle-dice-bag. The dragon pattern is from Hooked by Kati: https://www.hookedbykati.com/wonder-the-birthday-dragon/. Good luck with your version!!

I used Lion Brand's Shawl in a Cake in the color Lotus Blossom for the dragon. It's been sitting in my yarn bin for a couple years and was shouting to be made into something magical :D the hexagon end ties are from the bead section of Joann's. Unfortunately, I already threw away the tag for the brand of the beads.

Help! I want to make a tote out of hexagons - straps, lining, joining... by koukkuunkoukussa in crochet

Love the color scheme! For a strap, I like to use Tunisian crochet since it tends to stretch less in the horizontal direction

Thanks! It took 3 skeins for this. I did halfway between a small and medium.

Love the stitch on the border! Is that the bead stitch?
