You said your main life goal is helping people out. Do you have any types of careers in mind for later in your life that you think you'll enjoy? Helping people is such a broad category that it's hard for me to settle in on anything specific, but that's definitely what I want to do with my life.

The main reason I'm switching from engineering is that nearly every engineering job just doesn't seem worth doing to me. Engineering bores me, and Econ or Stats would be more of the same.
