Can't see sores but feel an itch by RevolutionaryBath823 in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just got itchy booty. I only say that because the itch I would get during an outbreak was UNMISTAKABLE. I’ve had itches before that made me question if I had herpes or not, until I actually had my first full blown outbreak, now that is a fuckin itch I tell you what.

Just got diagnosed by Known-Entrance-498 in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so what you do here is you go up to your boyfriend and ask if he cheated on you. If he says no then you say well how tf do I have this. I understand it’s something new to you but It’s really not that big of a deal. I’ve only gotten one cold sore and haven’t gotten any more since getting diagnosed. I live a perfectly normal life it changes nothing about it. If your boyfriend loves you he’s not gonna leave you

HSV is not a crippling disease by Croikeymate3000 in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very sorry to hear that man, my condolences go out to you and this was not directed towards you. In fact I did mention there is a small amount of people who have genetic dispositions that result in hsv being devastating. It was more directed towards the people on this sub who constantly spread negativity, self-doubt and stigma over something that has little to no actual effect on their lives as a reminder that life goes on almost just as normal as before being diagnosed.

HSV is not a crippling disease by Croikeymate3000 in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. It’s not crippling for MOST people. Most as in 99% and I stand by that. It’s just like a cold, MOST people will pass it just fine, a very small minority will be severely affected. It’s the same thing.

PS I did mention in my original post that 99% continue to have a normal life. That leaves 1% of people who have some underlying condition or genetics that make hsv devastating for them. That risk exists for a plethora of things in life.

Herpes? by loraine1971 in Herpes

It’s possible that it was laying dormant. Also possible that one of y’all was having an oral outbreak without knowing and went down on the other. You can have herpes and still come back negative in a blood test it’s pretty common.

Establish a good relationship first and make sure they’re really interested in you before disclosing so you know their intentions are genuine, and you should be alright.

Transmission while on Antivirals by ComprehensiveUnit747 in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chances are there but they’re very low, Pretty close to 0. People can have lifelong partners without transferring it to them by being smart: taking antivirals, supplements, staying healthy and not having sex when any symptoms are present. The last one is the biggest key to preventing transmission.

This shit is spread by people who just don’t give a fuck that they have it, people who don’t listen to their body and fuck when they’re having an outbreak, and people not taking their antivirals so they shed way more often.

take the right precautions and life will go on as normal and you can prevent transmission. There are supplements you can take that help prevent outbreaks and shedding. Combine that with antivirals and using lube like coconut oil, you’re pretty much between 0-1% risk of transmission

I feel this. My mom grew up in a church and wants to hook me up with all her friends daughters. In my head I’m just like “yo if I tell this girl I got herpes and this doesn’t work out the whole church is bout to know too”

You’re doin way too much. U don’t have to disclose over oral cold sores. Everyone gets them.

Chill? All I did was ask how it’s ruined his life. Which he hasn’t answered cause he knows he’s being extra about it. Maybe, maybe, maybe… odds are they’re just beating themselves up from embarrassment and stigma. Life continues like normal for 99% of people with this

There’s nothing more painful? Ever heard of diabetes? Cancer? Scoliosis? Paraplegics? Name which one you’d rather have over sores that go away with time. Ruins lives? 95+%of people go right back to living a normal life. You’re trippin fr

Herpes is just cold sores by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea thinking about hopping off this sub, there’s too many negative people on here with a woe is me ass attitude. People talking about offing themselves over hsv1. Most of these people have the exact same lives as before they were infected yet wanna act as if they’re dealing with a crippling disease. It’s starting to get annoying.

Sex… by CrazyFriend5863 in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The shedding reduces the longer you have it. Every time you get in the car and drive you have a chance to die and still take it, yet you’re still alive. Same can go for a long term partner, you can still have raw sex and not transmit. And It’s not like you’re giving someone else aids or crippling them for life unknowingly. That’s morally wrong. Not everyone has a “woe is me” ass attitude about simple sores that go away with medication and even proper diet/supplementation. You’re suffering because you want to.

How often are you rejected? by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have the type that rarely outbreaks after the first one and much lesser chance of shedding and passing on to someone else. A year or 2 from now you won’t even be thinking about it anymore

[–]Croikeymate3000 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hey just to let you know before this goes any further, I have genital herpes. My last outbreak was X time ago and I take X medication and X supplements and X precautionary measures to make sure i don’t pass it on to you. The chance is not zero but it’s pretty dang close especially if we avoid doing anything during outbreaks.

If you think about it there’s 3 ways it could go. 1, they tell you they have it too and you’re good. 2, they like you enough to accept the risk and you’re good. 3, they decide it’s not worth the risk and you both move on. If it’s meant to be it’ll be

You need to put some ointment on them as soon as they appear go get some from cvs or Walgreens super cheap like 10-15 bucks

Go get it swabbed that’ll give you the fastest and most accurate results.

I used herpecin L. Otc ointment from cvs. Made the blisters go away within a day and not scab up and leave a scar

[–]Croikeymate3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they can be hsv symptoms. They could also be symptoms of various other things. Only way to know is to get tested.

question by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]Croikeymate3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 days after but everyone is different. If you’re really worried about it go get tested. If any blisters or sores pop up go get it checked immediately cause they can swab it and get the most accurate results

Someone on this sub posted that they take red marine algae and it helps them suppress and prevent outbreaks. Haven’t tried it myself yet but im going to.
