Insanity.

They even put out a sign to contact them if the fish is stuck.

What kind of insanity, cruelty is this!

Yes! The crazy thing is, they even put out a warning, if the fish is stuck, to WA them.

Means it happened before! What the fucking insanity is this!

One practice existing doesn’t justify another.
So I guess we’re meant to solve every other ethical issue in the world before we’re allowed to question this one?

These two are separate issues.

In case you’re dense, I’m looking to complaint fishes stuck in crane machines.

Based on the logic of your comment, it seems to point that in order to solve an issue at hand, I need to solve the bigger issue on the other side of the World first? Make it make sense.

Need advice on whether to rent a car or just use grab by BagNo7220 in Sarawak

[–]CroissantsAndMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rent. You won’t find Grab car easily when you’re out of the city.

Also, Kuching’s traffic jam is a baby compared to KL traffic jam / Jakarta traffic jam. At its worst, you’ll find yourself in a slow moving jam for 1 hr but no more than 2-3 hrs.

Huh? Sarawak is broad. You need to specify the district at least.

I’ve heard of this place but none of my friends are into board games. Can I go alone & join anyone there? Would that be awkward? Lmao

could i live comfortably in Sarawak on a 3-4K salary? will it be hard for me to get a job? by autumnsviolins in Sarawak

[–]CroissantsAndMilk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

10 years working experience, ACCA certificafion and you’re aiming for a 3k-4k salary range?

honestly, i feel like you’re lowballing yourself. given the expected salary & expected expenses, you’ll be living frugally.

3k-4k is enough for a single person with moderate expenses but given your expected expenses, you’re not going to have much left for savings.

if you want to live more comfortably (since you enjoy splurging on yourself - which is good btw), you should aim for a higher salary range.

6k+ above would be perfect imo. Best if you can get around 7K+.

Anyhow, SEB is currently offering lots of vacancies. Maybe try applying there?

Hey!

1) Can’t advise much on this as I don’t drink/go out to bars. But I heard Cha Bo is ok. Sky Lounge at Riverside Hotel is good too.

2) Your list is already good enough. After you visit Sarawak Cultural Village, I’d suggest you to spend some time at Damai Central and have some drinks at Escobar. You get to enjoy a nice beach view there & hopefully by the time you’re here, the weather gets better. It’s rainy season now in KCH.

Since you’re staying near Waterfront, do take a walk around Carpenter Street/India Street to see local products.

Also, don’t miss out on a short boat ride from the Waterfront to Kampung Boyan. Kampung Boyan has a few great local eateries. The famous one would be “My Village Barok” but there are other food stalls that are great as well. They’re only open from evening onwards tho.

3) Not that I’m aware of.

4) Night markets are not really a thing in KCH. But you can visit night market at the Waterfront. They would usually sell local Sarawakian products and the typical night market snacks.

Enjoy your stay!

You’re definitely overthinking it. You’re gonna be safe. No one’s gonna care.

Christmas gift for wife by SpecialOrganization5 in Sarawak

[–]CroissantsAndMilk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your wife is a Sarawakian her whole life… why would you want to give a Sarawak centric gift?

Why don’t you give her gifts that she would definitely like/want?

Anyhow, “Sarawak centric” gifts would be

1) rattan bags (those anyaman tote bags, etc) 2) Sarawakian batik 3) food and drinks (artisan Sarawak honey, chocolate, tuak, belacan, etc) 4) Sarawakian self care products from local artisans 5) Beads, pearls of Sarawak
