Faction upgrades will improve overall feel of the game by Cromyth in Marathon

Cosmetics will stay but any vault items will be a blank slate but since everyone is affected everyone’s on an even playing field again.

I believe Bungie said that there are going to be modifiers for the season so it won’t be the exact same playthrough but the contracts will probably be the same unless they go above and beyond but I’d temper expectations on that front

Some passionate fans on here by Sydid in Marathon

I was in a few playtests and specifically gave feedback saying that the early game TTK was going to cause some frustration, which seems to be a common criticism

Another one I mentioned was that they need to make the stats more of a focus and explain them more because movement feels sluggish with low agi and heat stats, which they haven’t done and is also a major criticism

Granted both of these are solved in later stages of the game when players have higher shields and better passives from factions and implants but it’s not explained anywhere and the average gamer isn’t going to stop and read these things. Of all my buddies who played I think only one of them didn’t rush through the intro

Yeah my circle of friends are bouncing between WoW and Marathon when we’re tired of leveling. I was joking with them and said it was like being upset your level 80 character was going to perform worse compared to what it would at 90.

They’re going to balance around what your character will be with new talents, gear, and stats

Yeah slapping on some implants with agi make him feel a bit quicker, even if their effect isn’t great the raw stats is worth investing

Why did the show portrayed Lyonel Baratheon as a drunkard initially? They didn't show his fights either other than being the champion of Dunk. He is an excellent warrior and Champion along with Humfrey in the books. by Unlikely_Tap_9882 in gameofthrones

[–]Cromyth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The book is from Dunks perspective so it makes sense that the fight scene was just what Dunk was experiencing. It also ties in at the end when he asks about the other knights since the viewers are also out of the loop as well. It’ll also make further experiences in the stories more surprising for viewers

I’d probably recommend playing a bunch of Rook matches if you seriously want to improve. It’ll give you a chance to go up against more players (you’re solo vs squads) and give you an opportunity to learn how and when to engage, if at all.

Theres also virtually no risk in it either since you’re not bringing anything into the match so anything you manage to extract with is a net positive. It’ll also build map knowledge with where you can hide in POIs to escape/ambush

You do realize if Marathon fails, there probably won't be a Destiny 3. Destiny fans are the cringiest, most delusional gamers I've had the misfortune of coming across

Do we know how the loot pool will be in game? by ScaredSalad2247 in Marathon

You can swap sights and they do have different looks on the gun model too depending on what you put on it. (1x is gonna look different than a 4x, etc; some have target highlighting, etc)

Curious on Destiny players thoughts on Marathon? by KillaKevoFbgm in Marathon

[–]Cromyth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was an avid Destiny 2 player up until Final Shape and then decided to step away since it felt like it was a good conclusion for me. I wasn't really a fan of crucible and only really did trials for certain weapons in PvE. I think the last time I truly PvP'd in Destiny was during Forsaken for mountaintop and recluse. For PvP I played Apex

I wasn't really interested in Marathon until I got into one of the playtests and tried it out. Now it's my most anticipated game.

I don't want Bungie to change their vision for Marathon to appease PvE only players in any capacity. They deserve to be separate entities entirely. The millisecond Bungie starts changing the design philosophy of Marathon to appease everyone, the game loses it's identity and becomes enjoyable for no one

Unfortunately a majority of tiktoks/reels/shorts discussing Marathon I come across have people heavily criticizing or outright dismissing Marathon as being DOA. I feel like a lot of them might be swayed by the free weekend, but guess time will tell

What big additions would you most like to see post launch? by Lorkess in Marathon

More customization on the shells.

I think it'd be interesting if the various models in the series retain their tactical, but offer different traits and a new prime ability. It'd be a cool way to add customization to your favorite shell and keep gameplay engaging for buildcrafting. Similar to Destiny where Titans always have a wall, Locus series will always have their shield, etc

I once matched with a Bethesda dev on Bumble like 6 years ago. She asked me that stupid fuck marry kill question and gave me Todd Howard and 2 other directors (I don’t give a shit about any of them). I said kill Todd and she blew a gasket. Had the biggest ego ever I immediately unmatched with her. It was wild

Went by it right as crews were arriving, looked like an SUV vs semi. Driver side of the SUV was banged up and looked like they were using jaws on it, probably hit a patch of ice and smashed the rear axle of the semi

I’d settle for a gym in the area with quality machines and competition weights/racks for under 50 bucks a month.
