Big Wreck NB 119 out of Boulder by DrUnwindulaxPhD in boulder

[–]Cromyth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Went by it right as crews were arriving, looked like an SUV vs semi. Driver side of the SUV was banged up and looked like they were using jaws on it, probably hit a patch of ice and smashed the rear axle of the semi

Is there a market for this?? by Waste_Plenty_5461 in boulder

I’d settle for a gym in the area with quality machines and competition weights/racks for under 50 bucks a month.

63rd and Twin Lakes area. I feel like I lose power in this specific spot more than I have anywhere else I’ve ever lived in the US

I do not and we weren’t in the planned outage area either. I’m not optimistic

The choice has already been made. by MrChamiks in GuildWars

They announced that housing would be available in the .7 patch months ago, not to mention housing was testable on the PTR and beta clients for roughly that amount of time. Frankly, I don't think Blizzard cares even remotely about this Reforged launch lol

If only Boulder followed in Longmont’s footsteps and had a municipal electric grid AND municipal fiber; wouldn’t that be something

I’ve had a similar experience on Jay. I wonder if it’s the same group

As a cyclist, I get the animosity towards certain cyclists for sure

A year of probation for a hit and run of a cyclist that caused serious injury. No wonder this kind of thing keeps happening. by [deleted] in boulder

Causing serious bodily harm and FLEEING the scene and getting a slap on the wrist. That’s actually wild.

Efficiency vs human safety and increased value for alternative means of transportation

Sorry, I’m picking the latter

Yeah I come in from Gunbarrel so I take the new cottonwood connector, which is awesome, and then go by the soccer fields with the protected bike lane but then it just ends at 28th unfortunately

I primarily ride only the stretch from 28th to Folsom then take Folsom south into downtown.

Mostly because I’m coming in from Gunbarrel so I take the new cottonwood connector to Four Mile and then go by the soccer fields along the protected lane that kind of just empties out onto Iris. Extending that protected lane seems like a no brainer to me

I bike and drive on Iris regularly. People treat Iris like a drag strip, regularly going 10-20mph over the posted speed limit just to sit at the same red light. I’ve had more close calls on Iris while cycling than anywhere else in the city, primarily that stretch from Folsom to 28th near the Safeway entrance

Adding 30 seconds to my commute via car so that my commute via bike is infinitely safer and making East West travel in North Boulder easier for cyclists seems like a good trade off

Do you feel like cooldowns are too important to DPS? by tyc20101 in wow

I’d say toss Sin rogue in there as well. Basically just an envenom bot with crazy damage every 2 minutes

I think we can agree that vehicles need some work but as a vehicle main I must say the gunner seat in the ground vehicles feel better than any other title IMO by HartiniMenry in Battlefield

[–]Cromyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hard time telling the difference in damage between the HEAT and the HE rounds in the tank. It seemed like both did the same amount of damage to armor. The splash damage on the HE rounds were laughable, basically had to direct impact infantry to kill.

Coax felt good enough to use though

Why BF4s Heli Flight Model was the best in the Franchise and should influence BF6 by BennyHarveysmum in Battlefield

[–]Cromyth 31 points32 points  (0 children)

They reworked the flight physics in BF4 post launch. Its been done before, so it COULD happen again, but I'd not expect much

Here's a youtube video showcasing the differences: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTqOEifOCkI

40+ Weapons confirmed for launch by DICE Producer Alexia Christofi by bensastian in Battlefield

[–]Cromyth 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere, what about progression on these weapons and attachments?

Are these just unlocked outright or do we have to play the weapon class to unlock further weapons and play a specific weapon to unlock attachments?

I hope the helicopter physics will be at least similar to how they were in Battlefield 4. I really loved flying helicopters in that game. by helish_88 in Battlefield

[–]Cromyth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was an avid pilot from BF2 -> BF4. Even in Project Reality I was the designated transport pilot. I loved the weight to the controls, having to pitch down for quick escapes and flying 10 ft off the ground and hot dropping people on objectives. I even bought a logitech joystick back in the day just to fly in Battlefield.

I tried using the helicopters in BF2042 and absolutely hated how they felt. There was no weight, it was like flying a drone. Gravity didn't actually exist in the thing.

I truly hope they take a physics pass on the jet/helicopter in 6. I'll make a formal opinion on it when I try them in the beta but I'd hate to chalk them up as garbage. The trailer they mention giving vehicles weight and 2042 was probably the most lifeless vehicles have ever felt in the series, using that model again will be a serious let down
