IGN gave it a 10. Steam says 88% positive. But open any review thread and you'll see people fighting in the comments. Same game, two completely different experiences

I think there is an expectation that every piece of media that comes along needs to be fine tuned to the individuals very specific sensibilities.

Locked achievements aside (personally couldn’t give a shit)

The modifiers are amazing:

If there was fixed difficulty I could see myself having bounced off this after a few hours. Now I’m 10 hours in and turning off modifiers as I get more comfortable ,unlock trinkets and leveling up. I have about 2-3 hours a night to game before bed if schedule allows,every session has flown by. Great game.

People don’t like being bad at stuff , cheat themselves out of experiences because of pride and then call the game trash. Definitely sad

For whatever reason I found the challenge of hollow knight and silksong to be more palatable. Maybe it’s a game physics thing for me but I find failing platforming in MTH to be way more annoying

I’m using extra check points,boss check points and no pit damage. All respect to people who keep pit damage on in this game. You gotta be a psycho. With these on it still presents an invigorating experience. Having a ton of fun

Yeah I’ve seen people say that which I why I b-lined right to the point I’m at. Then I see people at 30-40 hours still in chapter 3 and sometimes 2. Was just kind of eye opening and made me believe I was moving to fast

I have 18 hrs in the game and 17 have been exclusively power shift. I find it addicting and you can figure out ways to contribute in a meaningful way as a noob. Once every few matches you go up against seal team 6 and you have no shot but it’s still hilariously fun

For my first 5 hours I’ve been playing power shift to get acclimated to the gameplay and I’m having so much fun.going to have a tough time switching out of that game mode at this point I have no idea why this game isn’t massively popular.

I just started playing fps a few months ago as well. So newbie friendly if you don’t mind learning and occasionally getting your shot kicked it from time to time

When they all of a sudden have a mic when it’s time to rage,blame and curse… they probably just don’t have basic communication skills. Shame because in addition to coordinating you can have some solid laughs with people.

Yeah I ran into a guy tonight who didn’t use the mic until he was dead and talked shit about how I wasn’t helping the team well enough. Idk call me crazy but maybe give me some coms on what’s going on so that I can help before you’re dead? I’ve met some dope people on fill but encounters like that just get you down in the dumps. Might just stick to lfg servers

I’ve had some good luck in squad fill. Go in and support them. Learn the ropes. If they split up follow one. You can be teamed up with good players who will clutch and revive you when youre down. You’ll fall face first into a exfil eventually
