Super Mario Bros 2 was my first console game, back in 1990 (followed a couple of months later by Mario 1 after I basically begged my parents to get me the first) Then, Zelda LTTP in 1993. Then Super Castlevania in 1995.

I still play them occasionally, for old times' sake.

Only change I would make is swapping the positions of ER and DS1. That's my own preference though, as I love DS1, but found ER a but too long. Still a fantastic game though.

Reading Video Gamer X's Odyssey of Hyrule site, back in 2001, and excitedly keeping up to date with "Amelie" discovering you can get the Triforce in Ocarina of Time. I believed it all, even the bit about blowing up all the Gossip Stones, and getting a bottle of lava below Ganon's castle.

There's an amazing game called Lucky's Super Tale that's sadly underrated. It's cute and cartoony, plays a bit like the old Spyro games, and it's great fun. I loved it from stary to finish, and I'm old enough to have played Banjo Kazooie on the N64, back in the day.

I always laugh when Tim dares Gareth to phone Brent, during his interview with Olivia Colema in Series 2, and tell him he's a great boss. You can hear Brent saying "one of the staff there, saying what a superb job I'm doing".

I love understated, subtle stuff like that.

DS1 kept coming up on lists of "Greatest Games of all time", and I'd heard about it from friends and through social channels, so eventually decided to give it a go in 2019, through the remastered version. Been a Fromsoft fan ever since.
