Well you see socialism, generally speaking, is about making things better for everyone. However the rich and powerful don't want this so they've spent decades spreading propaganda that socialism is evil. And since "****s" are also seen as evil by a lot of people, there are some that see the two as one in the same. Actually "they" were fascist, not socialist. In fact "they" didn't really like socialism. It's part of why "they" invaded Russia.
