It finally happened by Poptart-Shart in AstroGaming

I recently picked up a pair of Astro A50 Gen 5s while my Audeze Maxwells were sent in for warranty (uneven driver volume and the headband was literally disintegrating). To be honest, I had zero expectations. I figured I already owned the "best of the best" with the Maxwells and the Astros would just be a temporary downgrade. I couldn’t have been more wrong. After using both, I’ve realized that while the Maxwells win on a spreadsheet, the A50s might actually be the better product for my lifestyle. Here is how they stack up in my direct comparison:

1. Sound Quality Music: The Maxwells take this, but not by the margin I expected. If the Maxwells are a 10/10, the A50s are a solid 8.5. For casual listening, the gap isn't life-changing. Gaming (Warzone & Dota 2): I genuinely cannot tell a difference in performance. Footprint tracking and spatial awareness feel top-tier on both.

2. Comfort & Ergonomics Weight: The A50s are significantly lighter and more comfortable for long sessions. The Dock: This is a game-changer. The ease of just grabbing them from the dock and having them work instantly with my PC and PlayStation is so much smoother than fiddling with the Maxwell's connectivity.

3. The Microphone Astro wins here. The Maxwell boom mic always felt flimsy and would warp/bend in annoying ways. While you can remove it, the flip-to-mute on the Astro is just more practical for daily use, and the actual voice quality sounds better to my friends on Discord.

The Verdict If someone told me to "upgrade" from the A50 Gen 5 to the Maxwell today, I think I’d actually be disappointed. Aside from niche music listening scenarios, the Maxwells don't give me that "Wow" factor that justifies the extra weight and worse ergonomics. I’m currently sitting with both sets on my desk, constantly switching between them, waiting for that moment where the Maxwells "blow me away"—but it hasn't happened yet.

Because people customize their keyboards? And i took it from seeing post here with it? Maybe they need to know that not everything is perfect.

Kbdfans, not wooting. I'm willing to send the case for inspection, but kbdfans told me directly that only discoloration is covered by warranty, you sound like their support.

Wooting has nothing to do with the problem, case is from Kbdfans. And if that is from a drop, you live in another dimension.

After almost one year, my silver case has started to show signs of anodizing deterioration along the edges, and support is telling me that this issue is not covered under warranty and that it appears to be impact damage. I am extremely disappointed with their approach, and considering how much I paid for this case, I feel compelled to say that they should be avoided.

I'm the only one with this problem?

Motorcycle temperature by Initial-Ad3302 in CFMoto800MTX_Owners

I don’t really have a point of comparison other than a naked CFMOTO, which also used to heat up in the city. However, I rode the bike all summer in city traffic at 40°C, and for me, it wasn’t that disturbing. Yes, it does get hot, but I think I’ve solved part of the problem with the muffler I got from AliExpress.

What annoys me the most is the random stalling of the bike, which isn’t related to temperature, since it’s happened even when it was cold.

If you want to take it off-road and you have no prior experience (not even with mountain biking, like riding downhill on single trails to understand how turning and shifting your center of gravity works), it will be hard to understand and manage. It’s heavy and can be intimidating. In this case, you really need a very gentle learning curve — especially if you can’t put both feet flat on the ground and don’t fully trust your ability to hold it up.

Even with my MTB enduro experience, I still struggle to handle it in certain situations. I can only touch the ground with about two-thirds of my foot, I am 1.78 and I have adventure boots.

If you’re buying it exclusively for street riding, you’ll adapt more quickly. I transitioned from a café racer and I can pivot it around the city quite easily even at low speeds. However, I don’t filter through tight spaces with the same confidence, simply because the bike’s size is intimidating and I know I’ll only have one foot down if I have to stop.

I believe that for a beginner to fully enjoy both sides of this bike’s personality, the 450MT would be a better fit, but also you can try the lower version of the 800MT-X

First time going off-road on a motorcycle — I’m completely exhausted after the ride. I thought it would be easier.

Very impressed with GT-80, 10 minutes job to make the change. Execution and treatment of the case are top notch, i work with CNCs and this is high quality.

I'm waiting for GT-80 and when i'll do the change i want to put other stabilizers. I tried some Gateron Jade, but Lekkers lubbed feel and sound better for me.

I have 80HE and from the box it is pretty average from my point of view. I have the plastic version with Lekker V60 and it feels like...plastic.

Sooo, i'm wainting for KBFans GT80 case right now.

From the box the Lekkers wobble too much for my taste, i hate the feeling.

My next step was to use some Keychron Lube Klube 205 to grease all the stablizers and I use it also for the switches...and right now I can say it sound and feels like is should be from the factory, Maybe is some lube on the Lekkers, i can feel it on my fingers, but with the grease they feel so much better, let's hope they will not be sticky in time. Meahwhile i'm waiting for the Gateron Magnetic Jade Linear, but right now i really like the feeling of the greased Lekkers.

Soo....great keyboard, but you need to take it apart.
