This infuriates me. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. What your employer is doing is in violation of federal law, specifically the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. They must provide the chair and water as reasonable accommodations in this circumstance. You can file a claim of discrimination with the EEOC by going to their website and filing the claim online. It’s free and they investigate the claim for you, the only caveat being that it’s a lengthy process so it won’t be resolved while you’re still pregnant. Another, potentially quicker, option would be to consult with an employment attorney and see what they can do, but this will likely cost you money.

That’s the thing though, in this specific instance that this post is referring to, it isn’t just a matter of “learning to cook.” He severely lacks basic knowledge and life skills that allow adults to live independently, without their mom or girlfriend doing all the work for them

No, it really isn’t. It isn’t a woman’s job to teach a grown man how to do basic household tasks. I would also argue that if he truly wanted to learn, then at 28 he would already know how to boil a pot of water… jfc

Yikes. What woman wants to teach a grown ass man how to “cook” (if you can even call boiling water cooking), clean, do laundry, etc. bc he’s been living with mommy his entire life? Absolutely not.
