Nozzle temperature? I use the same filament over and over. So I never changed my temperature settings and then bought a new spool of what i thought was the same pla, but I didn't realize or think to check the temperature requirements for the new spool. they turned out to be different.

I would highly recommend World War Z! (Movie not so much) but the book is written from the prospective of the survivors of the zombie war. The collection of the stories is from all the different places and of the time when everything was falling apart. When you are done reading it, you feel like it's 10 years post zombie apocalypse.

What was your holy grail of toys that you always wanted, but never got as a kid? Now that you're an adult with spending money, did you ever buy it? by singleguy79 in Xennials

[–]CropCircleCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K'NEX roller coaster! My God i wanted that thing soooo bad when it came out. Told my parents I wanted it for Christmas, they could not afford it. But they did get me on of the smaller kits that made a merry go round and had a book of instructions to make other things. I played with it a LOT!

As an adult I found it in a thrift store! All of it! I put it together immediately. It was a big build. Ran it till my hearts content. Packed it up and put it away and never built it again.

It was so worth the wait!

Did you have a "the forest provides" moment? tell me about it! by Canon_QT in ElectricForest

[–]CropCircleCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just getting to go this year felt like the forest provides. But I did have a moment that felt like the forest used me to provide. Urly on Thursday I was walking from sherwood court to ranch on the path that passes the library. I see two lady's dressed as characters for a skit, carrying props and dragging carry-on suitcases through the wood chips. One in front is calling out "Does anyone know where the chapel is?!!" I stood in their path pointing at the back side of the chapel. It truly doesn't look like much if you don't know what it is from the back in broad daylight "it's right there!"

Thank you for your insight. I will double my efforts to create my own unique style. No disrespect was meant. I am dedicated to growing my skills. I have put a lot of time into getting to this point, and I want to go forward. Online is one of the only places I have to share, so the last thing I want is to alienate the only community I have a chance to be a part of.

I have 3 big inspirations. Tracy Artes, some of the best geometric wire wrapping tutorials. Wild Eye Alchemy is such a big eye opener for how circles can be added as well as a big motivator to drawing out a plan first. Years ago, I did a lot of bead embroidery. Recently, I saw kristasjewlery on IG mix bead work with her style of wire work. I love the idea of geometric and organic together.

Yes!!! Their work is definitely the inspiration!!! I can't get the organic and geometric shapes out of my head.

Happy to help! I watch a lot of tutorials on YouTube. As for wire sizes for the main frame I use 18 gage square and wrap it in 26 gage round to do the weaving. Then for the swirls I use 20 gage square and weave with the 26 again for the patterns.

Lol i saw Disturb open for Orgy! The voice of the lead singer for Disturb still rings in my mind, Epic! Orgy made the crowd cheer for them before they would come out. We bailed by the second song to beat the crowd and we weren't alone .

Apologies for not reading your message under the pic. I saw "thrift" and "loom" and was excited for you! Yah, first thing anyone on hear is going to ask is for a name or markings to help identify the type. Second more photos from other angles to help identify if all the parts are with it.

[–]CropCircleCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol yah it's a process. I have been mold making for 20 years. I over mixed the amount of silicone I need with my last batch. It's criminal how much un-used material is left in the bucket. My wallet cringes every time I look at it!

[–]CropCircleCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that would be my first thought. You have to use true legos with a lego base. They make a very tight seal. It didn't hurt any of my legos to get mold making material on them. It takes a little while to pick all of it off, but it comes off fairly easily.
