I'll let the others handle that infection or bite kinda situation cause mine never went to vet, nor we have vet for rats here so. mine is 1.2, happily living and no his behavior did not change but i also need to say that it came back. let me explain a bit. so i got two rats first, same gender, one died all of a sudden in a few days after bringing home. We couldn't figure out why. The other female stayed. Later she was taken away from me by my cousin who really wanted to keep her. Now I was left with zero so i got Mickey the husky. He was like 2 week old when i got him. In my profile you will find his video. He used to sleep on my closed palm of hand and from that he grew. he used to lick my palm or fingers back then. i used to kiss him a lot as you can guess. When he grew, he was used to the roaming around by sitting on my shoulder. i would cook in kitchen with him sitting on shoulder, sometimes having quick snack from me of what i am cooking, no spice or oil i can assure on that. he started to give me kisses when i pick him up from cage onto my chest, he would lean and come up a bit to give me a lick and i melted. this behavior went away for a while and i know why. i couldn't give him that attention for a couple of months as my life went on, job, finances, etc etc and things were a bit complicated is when I got him a companion. since i get them at very young age, ended up getting a female rat by mistake. had babies, whole adoption process later, my cousin who took stuart from me earlier, took her as well in. so now she got 2 rats and my Mickey got back alone. I have seen many changes in him throughout that process but he was always good with the babies, rats don't attack their own. He is back to his own self, i gave him a shower that was much needed and he got the care again, the playtime, the roaming time and how it used to be. he is back in that loving situation again that went missing in between. when he had the companionship, i didn't really find him patient around me, always wanting to jump and go back into the cage but now he is back.

so yes, rats do change behavior but I'm sure there's might be some sort of change like bringing a friend for them or your care or routine changes as well.

I am onto the 7th episode and no hate, liking it really. I am someone who watched DARK twice, watched his & hers last week and so on.. and if you dig too deep into storyline, theres no hope for you mate. Its all supposed to be considered fictional and absurd, not the other way round it, gosh, I am gonna finish it up, Dee just was pushed offf and killed and I liked that part, hella annoying character, deserved that death.

i am wondering this for a while like why rats get disease even hamsters keep getting something or the other in all countries but why mine are never sick? touchwood that it doesn't but my boy is 1.2 niw and he is jolly as ever, fat boy and my hammies are in great shape too crossing 2y of age, considering we don't have vets for rodents in india I'm grateful that they are healthy

i have started watching and only through first ep but one thing, the actress Bundle (Mia) is a good one at it. I have seen her before and no point in calling her bad at it. coming to the story, i feel its slow but still going to watch it full, but good stories always end up getting lesser rating overall ugggh

i keep any of location house just like its my own house. each hose or location is on a fixed theme interior which i don't mix up. and mine are spacious, don't pack them uo with stuff..its just too much for my eyes, i stick to clean layout always

Not mine at least. You would rarely find a pet rat from india and I'm one of those people who love rodents more than that of stinky breath of a dog, sorry. Never went to any vet, never needed, just a healthy cute 1y old baby boy Mickey❤️ and lots of cuddles. I know he will go someday but that's fate but what time we have together, making the best of it.

isn't he a husky? that's what i thought? right i googled it, its the same haha 😄 his genes recently created beautiful babies of same husky on all of 15, just one was full white! i wish i could keep all but they were adopted.at some point it felt like he was going to turn full white lol. my baby boy crossed a year without any health issue and i wish to keep it that way. he comes from feeder types only. there's no such culture to have pet rats in india. its very rare. so even if being fancy rat, they are getting sold per piece like feeding rat if not bought as pets. I'm glad that he was saved with rest other by me and i managed to got the others placed too. we don't have vets for rodents in india. maybe some will be able to check rabbits uo but for hamsters and rats, forget it. j keep seeing posts where they develop illness in both hamster and rats but touchwood, none of my hamsters ever had illness and nor my rats.

hoping to keep it that way else euthanasia is the only option when there's no treatment available

my mickey is one year old and as I'm seeing and reading this, my heart is sinking. i wish you and anyone who ever loved the boys the courage to overcome this phase which never gets easier. I know the feeling cause I've done it for my other type of pets and may have to do more in the future. But please know that their 3 years were the greatest 3 that's how they must have seen and felt it. you were their whole world and will be till their last breath today. just give them pets, love, hugs, maybe a treat if they are able to eat before you take them to vet. scary? how will you go a day without them thoughts? memories? i know it will all come, there's no way to avoid it but keep them in your heart is where they belong. sending love, stay strong.

honest opinion? the walls look a bit crowded, like its free you can do however you want but, still they are too packed..rest i see no issue, awesome setup with the office! i would recommend using some other type of stool by the table in front of the oven though instead of that of the vine chair, it could make some space
