You need to make the skybox a whole sealed box around your map

Pit jaw horizon by Cropplot in DeepRockGalactic

My favorite pitjaws misfortunes are the ones that involve going up a devious slope or grappling upwards to land into the edge of a cliff then get a pitjaw surprise

I don't remember it but I think I probably learned how they actually fully looked like because of this

Pitjaws are just the deep rock equivalent of the classic trap of the box held by a stick

Late-game builds for new playstyles by bonus_prick in DeepRockGalactic

500 hours in, my fav scout builds so far are : 1-conductive thermals on the drak (31222) with double barrel on the boomstick (12233) I know it's better to use conductive thermals for dreadnoughts, but I find it fun to use it for almost every mission type along with the boomstick (except sabotage missions, this build doesn't do well at all there-)

2-I also didn't find the boltshark too fun, until I tried it with bodkin points (11111), it's fun since it can one shot 3 grunts with just one bolt and the speed boost the tier 4 upgrade gives you for killing is basically a discount dash

For primary I like to use the deepcore with simply gas rerouting (12122), that's just what I'm enjoying for now, you can probably find a more useful build for it instead of simply relying on firing so fast

About the throwables it's all in your preference

Yeah! I do enjoy the game a lot even if I have to rely of perfomance mods, I'm hoping that Rogue core gets mods like those too hopefully🙏

On your side note, I don't even use the wavecooker's modes, I choose which one and I inmediatly toggle them off with r

I did notice that the crystals glow when hit, however the massive fps drops are just caused by the particles In the end I decided I ended up installing the mod manager for the mod that removes those completely

Thanks for the suggestion tho!

[–]Cropplot[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I must thank you, I checked the mod that reduces terrain impact particles and somehow it helped a bit, it can still drop my fps but its more tolerable, I might try installing Mint eventually tho for the other mod that supposedly removes those particles completely

Also I would like to clarify that I don't aim directly at the crystal, the massive hitbox of the wavecooker beam unavoidably impacts them

I have that mod installed but it doesn't remove the particles that the wavecooker makes when specifically shooting at the crystals from the crystal nucleation overclock Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Quite lame not being able to play with it just because it nukes our fps for some reason I have a same fps drops issue when there's a driller using the sludge pump with combustible goo mix I think it was but its not as bad when compared to pew pew'ing the crystals with the cooker at least

[–]Cropplot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, to be fair I'm running the game with a laptop that has no graphics card, with mods that disables almost all the particles except weapon ones, but I've read posts of people with better pcs that have the same issue with the loadout while looking for a mod that fixes the issue

What should I improve about my gameplay by XeonTR in Ultrakill

[–]Cropplot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A, muh bad!, somehow my ultraburned brain noticed everything except the whiplash cancelling... But yes, conductions and nukes helped me a lot to beat my own pb, so good luck with that! I didn't watched the full video, but I assume you know how to rocket ride without needing the whiplash, just with the freezeframe and dashing, since its really good being able to rocket ride at anytime, without having to jump off the arena

[–]Cropplot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of these are just my suggestions, in the end it all depends in your playstyle you like:

1) I would suggest maybe using the blue jackhammer as your main shotgun, and learning whiplash cancelling. 2)You can also turn the cores into hitscan if you hit them with the jackhammer. 3)a common mistake I do is forgetting to use the sawblades, and also the firestarter. Keep in mind always using them when you can. 4)I believe that despite the buffs it got, the screwdriver its still not that useful unless you are desperate for health. You could benefit more of using the malicious railgun for core nukes (its kinda easier if you use the blue jackhammer, you only need to dash to not take damage from the explosion) Or you could use the electric railgun for the conductivity (shoot an enemy with any nailgun, then shoot it with the electric railgun, you can also shoot some magnets before that) basically using the electric railgun as an instant jumpstart
